Cool

The not-so-secret TTC Diary of a Forum Fanatic

I have decided I need to start my own TTC journal to keep me sane!!

I will write a little background info for anyone who might be reading this!!

I am 38 years old and have a DD who is 14 from my first marriage.
I got married in October 2006 to my gorgeous hubby who I met following a mis-dialled call to my psycho ex-boyfriend (!!!) and we started trying to conceive in October 2007, I found out I was pregnant on 31st March this year and was totally ecstatic. It would have been my OH's first child.

I started to bleed on the day of my booking in appointment with the midwife on 15th April when I was just over 7 weeks along and had numerous scans and check ups when it was decided I was miscarrying (possibly twins but they couldn't be sure) and my miscarriage finally came to an end after medical management - and a long long wait to complete naturally - 39 days later!

I have just finished my first AF following the miscarriage and am anxiously awaiting my first OV, I have, (despite deciding to just 'see how things go' for the first few months) just ordered some opks as I am really not sure how my cycle will be now - I was regular 28 day cycle before and am hoping it will revert to that soon, my first AF was longer than normal at 9 days and so I am wondering if that will delay OV this month - hence the opk's!

We BD'd last night for the first time without protection since the m/c (getting some practice in ) and intend to do so every day from now until doomsday probably

PS the title of my thread refers to my never ending obsession with forums - I just LOOOOOVE them - wedding, gardening, DIY, pets, money saving - you name it - I post on it LOL

Hello

Just dropping by with some for your journal.

Sorry to hear you've been having a tough time of it recently and hope O comes for you soon.

I'm completely new to forums - this is my first! Now I know who to come to when I get confuddled with forum stuff ...

and a bit more for good measure

Well, I got my opk's in the post yesterday, used one but no luck yet, interestingly it says on the packet the best time to use them is between 12 and 2pm and that you need to leave your sample to come to room temp (half an hour) before proceeding - I am at work all day and really don't fancy leaving my urine sample in the ladies for half an hour!!! Anyway, I am going to carry on doing the tests as soon as I get home from work and hope for the best!

I am feeling really down today, had a massive row with OH over absolutely nothing yesterday - think I am just really hormonal at the moment and taking it out on him - I feel awful he has put up with so much stress himself these last few weeks and doesn't deserve me being horrible!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to sharing your journey with you so I'll just drop off some and I'll be on my way

Well this morning the arrived totally unexpected as she is 5 days early! so I guess that is that for this month! my cycle is usually 28 days and was like clockwork last month even though it was first AF after m/c, who knows what will happen now??

I feel sad that I didn't even get chance to test for this month! I had a dream last night that I got my which makes me feel even worse! Oh well, just have to try harder this month!

Going out for the day with DH today, to Imperial War Museum and Lowry in Manchester and then out for dinner so that should help take my mind off everything

Roll on OV
