Snowdrop's TTC Journal

OK … I’ve decided it’s time to start a TTC Journal.

I’m 37, DH is 41, we’ve been TTC#1 since December 2007, currently on CD3 of 7th cycle. This will be the first for both of us.

Not quite sure yet how I’m going to use this space, whether it will be specific TTC events / updates or just random thoughts and feelings.

- Cycle used to be regular as clockwork until a few months before we started TTC. Then it went to anything from 21 to 35 days. Last few have been more regular at 25, 25, 25, 24.

- Started using BBT last month and charting on FF.

- Purchased a CBFM a couple of weeks ago and have just started using it this morning! Hurrah, so far so good but I haven’t had to do much yet. I just know that I will get in a terrible muddle when I have to POAS – my aim never has been very good!

- Blood test in April / May showed low progesterone, so tested again in May / June. Results are in and I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow morning. DH is coming too, I thought it might be good to go as a ‘united front’ and show we mean business as it were.

This probably sounds daft but I had no idea that this TTC business would be such an emotional roller coaster! Shouldn’t this be easier? I was very low earlier this week when arrived - for the 2nd time in the last 6 months I (and DH) had been absolutely convinced I was pregnant.

Anyhow, am more positive today. I have my BBT, my CBFM, my folic & vitamins, my grapefruit juice (starting that today too) and BnB – what more can a girl ask for on CD3!

x

Hi Snowdrop (love the name btw!)

Sorry that AF got you hun! I'm sure this journal will help you as a special space in which you can rant, dream and blabber on to yr heart's content. And there is a great group of girls here in the journals to support you all the way!

Sounds like you are well sorted with temping and yr new monitor. Yay for us having a new chart to stalk!!

Good luck with the doc's appointment tomorrow hun!

Big

Yaya xx

Good luck with your journal - I've just started one recently too and can't quite decide what to put in it. Some days its general feelings and others its just related to ttc.

Good luck with your docs appt tomorrow - I'll try and call by tomorrow evening for an update.

xx

I'm Currently Feeling:

Doctors Appointment

Well, good news is that my progesterone levels are 'normal'. I showed doctor my FF BBT chart from last month and she said it was pretty much text book example of everything working normally. If my cycle becomes irregular again then I'm to go back to see her and they'll run some more tests, but hopefully my cycle has settled down to around 25 days and all functioning normally.

Soooo, her advice is to completely forget about TTC (yeah right!) and either go back and see her because I'm pregnant or wait until December which will be 12 months TTC and she'll refer me to a fertility clinic. We're to just make sure some of the BDing is around about the right time of the month, not more often than every other day and not to worry if work pressures or anything else get in the way and we feel we've missed a month. She said not worrying about TTC is more important than trying to time the BDing.

So now I have a dilemma. I've just got into temping, I've just started using a CBFM, I've just started a journal and I'm enjoying getting to know all you lovely ladies. BUT I'm a worrier, I just can't seem to help it, always have been. I guess the answer is to carry on if I'm enjoying it, but back off if it all starts to get too much. I may need your help telling me to buzz off if I start to sound too obsessive!

Hmmm, think I need to ponder this one for a while...

well, firstly im very pleased for you that everything went well at the docs chick

and as for the dilemma - i wouldnt worry too much, just try to 'enjoy' the charting/cbfm/journal etc

I try to think of them as 'fun' things to do, to help me whilst i wait patiently for my BFP

Hope this helps

Friday!

don't tell Snowdrop you saw me here - promised her I wouldn't drop by every day ...

Te He!

Nothing to report today really, but then 'tis early in the cycle.

Feeling rather perky today, in fact rather bright and breezy. Probably has rather alot to do with it being a Friday. Looking forward to seeing friends tomorrow evening and perhaps one or two (or few!) glasses of some sort of tipple.

I before work and now I'm praying it doens't before I get home. I'm so breezy I don't even care that it means I'll have more to do sometime over the weekend.

Anyhoo, that's all really - I just couldn't stay away ...
