Ro's Journal

Well I'm not sure what I am supposed to write on here but I will start off hoping this is a short live TTC journal. I have been TTC #1 for a year now, we are using the CBEFM and are on our 2nd cycle. I am 4DPO right now and am hoping this is it. It has been frustrating to say the least and I think the pressure of work, trying so hard and wanting it so bad are making it worse. Reading the treads has put a smile on my face at least so thank all of you for sharing-

5DPO.....
Feeling pretty good. Cramps went away and now I am burning up, not a fever but my DH says I am like a little heater box.

I am wondering about exercising while in my TWW. I run on average 20 miles a week, job requirement, not for fun! I am not sure if the running will keep implantation from happening. I know I sound like loon but you can never be too careful.

Working now and bored, makes the wait seem even longer.

Exercising in the 2ww should be fine- def. won't prevent implantation. If the amount of exercise you did increased dramatically it could delay ovulation, but it doesn't sound like that's an issue here. The doctors' standard line goes that, generally speaking, you can maintain the same level of exercise that you did before becoming pg (or in 2ww), but you should not try to increase activity levels during pg. They make exceptions for activties requiring balance during 2nd tri & beyond, and recommend staying away from contact sports / anything that could provoke a fall during pg.

During my pg with my son I had a very active job (lots of excercise, running, lifting of heavy weights) and the only repercussion was that I lost weight during the first tri. Gained a total of 20lbs during the pg, which is within acceptable limits (if at the low end thereof). DS was born 6lbs 3oz.

Anyway, hope that helps. You won't likely have to worry about heavy activity during pg as they will just send you home anyway.
