Day Two

Good morning, ladies! So, I am actually very happy this morning. Last night, I thought I had some mild cramping and was just kind of tired and blah feeling. I thought for sure was going to show her ugly face this morning. But I woke up and Nada! Zilch! No sign of her anywhere. I had the strangest dream, too.

some background first:
My sister and I lived with my real father for some time in our youth, and to make a long story short, my parents had a nasty divorce. All my life I have wanted to meet my real father. I was told pretty awful things about him, but it never made the desire to meet him any less. My mother later confessed about much of the stuff she said being lies out of anger, wanting to keep him away from us.

So, this past March, he happened to be in Ohio (he lives in Oregon) and I got to meet him for the first time in 22 years. He brought me pictures of me and my sister from when we lived with him that I had never seen before, and I actually found to have a lot in common with thim.

the dream:
My father entered the dream, not sure what happened before because this particular string of events is all I can remember. He said he wanted me to meet someone. In pops young me, and young my sister. I was shocked. He said he was there to help me fill in the blanks, and thus make my life history complete. He took us all to the place I where I lived when I was with him, my school, the park I played at. After all those places, he said he had to go now, but that I was finally free to forgive and move on and have a family of my own.

DH and I (prior to reuniting with him a fewmonths back) always planned on meeting him. It was something I felt I needed to do in order to be happy and content in my own life.

I hope and pray that this dream was somehow a sign that because I overcame that obstical, I am now at peace enough to bring a life into this world.

Well, I am back. I have had a rocky past few weeks and alot of new, confusing info to share, so where to begin.

On May 24th I started getting faint lines on First Response tests and was so shocked I immediately ran up to the doctor's to get blood drawn. The office changed their policy on walk-in blood work and said I have to make an appointment with my OBGYN so he can order the tests. So, I waited for what seemed like forever, the following Thursday for my appointment. So in the mean time, I of course, peed on every stick I could find.



They never really got much darker, and due to my TTC history, I was nervous and feeling inpending doom. And of course, the day before my doctor's appoint ment I went anyway so I could show him the tests and get his opinion, and he thought for sure it was a chemical/early miscarriage. He ran HCG blood test, tested my petuitary gland, and my thyroid as well.

3 days later he called to tell me by bloodwork came back it 2.75, he was declaring it a failed pregnancy and ordered me to start Provera if I didn't start bleeding soon. I was devistated. I haven't started bleeding yet, nor have I taken the pills because what I have read about them scares me. Some things I find say its ok when you are TTC and others say definately NOT to take them. So I decided to keep taking me OPK tests, and HPTS.

on 6/06/08 I got a blaring pos+ on my OPK and we BD the 5th and 7th so I am terrified to take the pills even though I am STILL not AFing. So, say I O'd on the 7th, the 17th would put me 10 DPO, and then by 14 DPO, the 21st I should know for sure if I was preggers, and/or even ovulated (because if you ovulate, and are not preggers, it is my understanding you will for sure have an AF?) So I think I will take them on the 21st, unless a miracle occurs.

If anyone has any insight on Provera, or what I should be doing differently, it would be much appreciated.

Well I have some good news to report. I finally have an "offical" CD1. Friday, June 27th the Provera did it's job and the witch arrived. They are declaring my positive HPTs as chemical or test error as my BW came back completely negative for pregnancy. So, It's on to extensive testing (finally) to see what all is going on with my issues TTC.

So far, I have been tested to
Thyroid = Normal
Petuitary Gland = Normal

It's now CD 4.
While we wait for the Fertility Specialist to call with a consult date, my doctor said it's ok for me to try baby asprin this month, along with pre-seed, and I am still taking my prenatals. I vowed in this attempt to try and not drink more than a few glasses of wine here and there, and to eat healthier. I really really hope now that we decided to start looking into a specialist the pressure will be less and maybe something great will happen this cycle!!!

I mailed my pre-fertility specialist questionaire today According to this paper, the doctor will call within 5 business days to set up the consult!!! Im so freaking excited to get started!!!!

Thanks, Ladies! I had the big "talk" with DH last night about $$$ and his role in the testing process and he seems really suppostive and gung-ho about it, too! So that helped ease my mind a bit... just anxiously awaiting the doc to call with the consult date!!! This wait could be worse then the Two Week Wait!!!

Hi Sounds like you have had a right old time of it!! Glad to hear you have got a consult set up and that the Provera gave you an official CD1. Hopefully you will get that before your birthday, what an ace 30th that would be!!!

I might actually O this cycle!!! I usually dont get a +OPK til CD 45 or even after. Sometimes I dont O even every OTHER month. The Doc said it was possible to have a good few normal cycles after the Provera so if this OPK test is accurate, then O is just around the corner!!! Im so excited!!!
