Oh honey, 8 days late, that must've been proper torture? U know how I was at 3-4 days late. Really feel for you. Bummer. I would say that you might have been preggo and then it 'fell away' but the BFNs don't suggest this so just one of this stupid, ridiculous months.

As for OV sticks, u know me - am all for them but up to you.

Yeah, i had thought it might have been m/c but i tested on the 8th day (practically came on as i was testing!!!!!!) and i reckon it would have shown up pos then if i had been?
I think as you say, just a stupid ridiculous month!

Some people do have to wait a coupla weeks b4 getting a positive so there is a chance you coulda been PG but it's unlikely .... and you'll never know I guess. God, this is all so torturous. But don't be too down. Go get yourself some OV sticks to occupy you mind ...

Feeling a bit better now after the trauma of late AF! Think i needed a bit of time out, but feel like posting again now, so hurrah!!!
has been very strange this time - heavier and longer than usual. Suddenly starting to wonder if maybe this is still something to do with bcp?! I stopped taking the pill a year ago now and last 6 months or so have been pretty regular after a shaky start, so i always assumed that i was fully back to normal? I am wondering though.... i've often thought that previously being on the pill was the reason for me not conceiving so far. I have no evidence to back this up, just a sneaky suspicion that the bcp is more evil than our dr's tell us!
Anyway, i guess time will tell!
Feeling happier anyway as this is the part of the month i like the most - long before Ov and me and DH get to bd cos we fancy each other rotten and cos we want to... not because i am ov-ing! Hurrah for a bit of normality in this mad, bad, TTC world!

I've been doing a lot of reading up on BCP lately and the information really varies but basically if you have been on the pill, the effects of the artificial hormones can result in infertility for up to 3-6 months as your body adjusts....of course some women are lucky and their bodies go back to normal straight away!! If you have been on depo provera, it can result in infertility for up to 12 months. Not information our docs let us know when prescribing us these contraceptives!!

Anywho, hopefully the heavier more horrible AF is your body setting itself up for a next month!

Hmmmm, interesting what u say about the pill cos I wonder this too - was on it on and off for 13 years. I heard an old wives' tale that for every year you were on the pill, equals a month of not being able to conceive so that means I'll fall preggo in December ... might start a thread about this just cos I am bored tonight! x

It's been ages since i posted in here.
It's 1.30am, i'm quite a bit tipsy after a girlie night out, hubby is away and all i can think about is TTC! I should be in bed sleeping off the G & T's but no... i'm here... thinking about babies!
It's nearing the end of my 2WW now and i already know deep down i'm not preggers, hence the reckless alcohol consumption! I know it's not over until the witch shows her ugly face, yada, yada, yada, but i just KNOW! I've got no symptoms, not a sore nipple or sicky feeling, or anything... just nothing! I know my body and it's soooo not preggo!
My friends were all asking me tonight if i was planning on having babies soon. I denied it as i don't want everyone knowing. It's difficult though as when anyone asks me questions about wanting kids or when we might have them i have to pretend like "us? kids?! as if!" but really, it really really hurts. Part of me just wants to be honest with my friends as i feel like i am hiding such a big part of me away from them. I never thought TTC and wanting a baby would be such a huge part of my life, but weirdly it is. It's so difficult hiding such a large part of your life away from people. But, i know i would find it even harder if i had to explain it to people, and then listen to the well intentioned but seriously annoying "It'll happen, just relax" comments that inevitably come from people who have never been in this position. It's not their fault though - they just don't understand.
Anyway, drunken ramble over!

Arrggghh i hate the end of the 2WW! I am just waiting for the evil old hag to show her ugly face! Been having really bad AF cramps yesterday and today so i know she is definitely on her way. It's stupid really as i am 100% sure this month that we haven't done it (again!) but it doesn't matter how sure you are, you still have that little niggle at the back of your head and that secret little hope and i know i will still be completely gutted when the witch does arrive! It's daft really.
I live in hope that one day someone will post a message on BnB saying "BFP! And i had no symptoms and really strong AF pains and i felt exactly the same as i usually do"! But that never seems to happen!!! I'd kill for a few symptoms right now!!!
Ah well, got to look to next cycle and get positive! This next one has just got to be our turn - it's been over 12 months now.... i really feel we deserve it! I'm desperate to know what it feels like to see those 2 little lines on a test strip!
