I think FF is putting your ov on cd17 cos your EWCM lasts till then, then dries. However, as Nat says, CD17 is a tad late (but not lots late) for a 28 day cycle, and your temps do rise around CD13 too, which is a bit more text-book. You've also got two 36.3 pre-ov temps which might affect your coverline- any chance they are off by a small fraction?
As for the Ov pain - it's not something I experience (tho i keep looking for it LOL) but i have read that it can occur before, during or after Ov (or not at all) so you can't really pin anything down by it.
Do you do anything else to help pinpoint ov (OPKs)? My EWCM seems to arrive at the wrong cycle point (like today for instance CD10!) and that seems to confuddle FF too. | Hi magic!
Aww, thanks for checkin' in on me too! You're another popular gal, with an active journal to tend to yourself! 'preciate your thoughts!
Yes, my charts drive me nuts... full of little peaks and valleys that all kinda look the same throughout the cycle. My chart is a low, rolling landscape versus dramatic canyons and mountains! I have gotten really good at temping right at 5:25 every morning, and been able to sleep through the night. There's been no major changes in sleep patterns, etc. So, only thing left to question is the cheapie digital thermometer I'm using... "It's OK to spend $ on a proper BBT thermometer!" "Don't do it! Book says cheapie one's just fine!"
Hmm... what to do, what to do... the dilemmas of a tightwad!
Huh... never thought of CD17 as being late for a 28 day cycle. DH will be over the moon that I'll be getting him to BD for an extended period, hitting several days before and after what appears to be Ov, to make sure I catch an egg!
I just read your journal re: the EWCM coming on the wrong days and you also find that those "Ov-like" pains can appear at different times too? All this variation can drive a TTCer ! Okay... gotta learn to just roll w/ it!! Oops.. forgot to add: As if you really had to ask...! I haven't been doin' anything else to pinpoint Ov because any other stuff costs $! But, I do have a microscope handy at home so I could do the ferning test. Just been too lazy to do that one. I'll make an effort to this cycle. In fact... I'll try it right now! Hey, that was cool! Just a little bit of ferning, but I'll try every day get a better sense of what it looks like when I'm Ov. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Heya Cloudy!!
Go onto Ebay right now and invest £4 in a BBT thermometer. I just swapped onto one - click on my chart and look at the temps from CD1-6 (normal thermometer=haywire) then from cd7-now (beautifully aligned). Deffo worth the few quid hun! |

Do you find the ferning matches up w/ your OPK? |

Wow... that's cheaper than my $10 digital one! If I can manage to find a BBT thermometer that cheap, I'll pick one up! Most that I've seen in stores seem to cost around $30. |

| CD 20, 6DPO Okay, I'm almost smack in the middle of my TWW. I think it's safe to let the symptom watching begin!
- temp staying moderately high
- constipated
- bloated
- 2 big, shiny, pink new zits on my face
- sleepless, wakeful sleeps the last 2-3 nights
- nipples still pale-coloured and "soft"
- bbs not itchy, sore or sensitive
- no "pulling sensation"
- no nausea
- pretty energetic
Err... wait a minute, that's starting to become a list of BFN symptoms!! |

| My dry cervix... So my cervix has been giving me grief this cycle because it hasn't been making enough CM and it's decided to take an all out strike on producing any EWCM. It's so not like her... she used to ooze out annoyingly large amounts of EWCM onto my panties right when I was in the middle of my work day, unable to get to a bathroom to slip in a pad! Hmm... is she trying to teach me a lesson? Did I take her formerly productive self for granted??
Someone mentioned to me that drinking a lot of fluids can help produce more CM... EWCM in particular. So, thought I'd give it a try... it's been pretty warm and dry in Vancouver for the last few weeks. Been sipping the fluids for a good few days now and I actually got a tad more sticky CM today!
Wonder if that was all it was... that I was dehydrated? I'm just hoping my cervix is now well hydrated and has forgiven me! |

| Was that blob... I've got to confront a fear that I've been holding on to since two cycles ago. During my February cycle, I thought for sure that I was P. I had all kinds of symptoms: bloating, gas, fatigue, mild nausea, itchy bbs, the "pulling sensation". Then, AF came and shattered all my hopes.
I was still convinced that I was at least "a little" P that cycle, even after AF. So, I neurotically checked the consistency of my menstrual blood for clots and other blobs of tissue. I did see a few blobs over two days. I even saved the "samples" in a container in the fridge to take to my doctor.
When I got to my doctor, she told me that it's not likely that I was P as AF came right on time that cycle. So, I didn't even bother taking my sample out of the bag to show her. I sadly poured the little blobs into the toilet after the appointment.
So... to this day, I'm still haunted by the thought that those blobs may have been a .
Funny thing is... I always saw clots and blobs in my menstrual blood before TTC. Never thought anything of it. The little blobs I collected were probably just more of the same but TTC is clouding my brain.
Was it or wasn't it? Should I let go of this now or should I be worried for future "chemical pregnancies"? |
