Cd 29, 9 Dpo

Hi my wonderful gals. First, I want to say sorry to all of you for not popping into your journals and leaving a note (but I have been quietly lurking and reading all of your stories!!) I feel so selfish that I've only been posting in my own journal when so many of you have taken time to drop by mine and leave such wonderful notes. Since summer vacation began on Friday, I've been trying to catch up w/ family and friends and catch up on housekeeping that's been neglected for months and months. The housekeeping stuff's definintely NOT as fun as BnB but it has to be done! (Especially if I'm going to have a in the house in the near future! Yes, still thinking hopefully!) As soon as things settle down, I'll be back to my BnB habit!! In the meantime, I'm missing you all!

Alright... since I'm in the 1WW as SwissMiss pointed out, I must indulge in a little symptom spotting!

BBs are no longer sensitive but nips are still looking flat and pale. Yesterday, one of my nips was extremely itchy for a few hours. Over the last month or two, my BBs in general seem to be getting bigger (most likely because I've been on a mission to gain weight and increase my BMI: doctor's recommendations) and since yesterday I noticed (or it may be my mind playing tricks on me) that my nips seem to be "migrating" from the center of my bbs towards the outer edge of my bbs (towards my arms). Wierd!!

Haven't had any more creamy CM. Mostly coming up dry but today I made an effort to take in more fluids so I started seeing bits of sticky CM with almost every wipe. It really seems that I do produce more CM when I'm hydrated.

I have been having a few mild symptoms but they're things I've experienced before, when I've had s (e.g. mild nausea, slight pulling sensation, occasional fatigue, AF/constipation-like cramps yesterday morning, when AF usually arrives) AND they all started when this hot weather started. The hot streak is finally coming to an end tonight so let's see how my body reacts to that!

This morning's temp got a little screwy because I awoke at 5 am, 25 mins earlier than my default temping time. I got 36.46 at 5 am then dozed lightly until 5:25 am then got a temp of 36.6. I've read somewhere that I should go w/ the first temp instead of the second one so I've plugged it in, though it makes my chart look a little more bleak!

Now that I'm into CD 29 with no sign of AF, I've passed one milestone in this cycle: I made it past the usual time that AF would have arrived, had my O been at its normal time. I'm starting to think that perhaps I O'd twice this cycle: once at around CD 15 as Miel suggests, and then the second time at CD 20. Hmm... I'd have to get my doctor to take a peek next time I go see her.

~sigh~ I'm lookin' at the mess around me in this house of mine and my conscience is nagging me to get back to it. I'll try to sneak on again tomorrow gals! Missin' ya!!

Heya Cloudy! Yay!!! For reaching this milestone!
I don't think it's physically possible to O twice in a cycle though hun. It can happen very rarely, but no longer than 24 hours apart, which is how non-identical twins happen. If it were possible to O 5 days apart you would find women with twins born 5 days apart!

(Someone slap me if I'm wrong!)

I think you probably Od on cd20 from your chart. Around cd15 your cm doesn't tie in, and your temps before that were level. You get your lurrvely ewcm around cd20, and you also get a drop just before, which would tie in with the estrogen surge which happens right before ov. I guess that's why ff has also plumped for cd20!

:hiya: TT! Are you on CD 10 or 10 DPO? If you're 10 DPO then I believe we're "cycle twins" - on the exact same day on our cycle! Hope you're 10 DPO so we can enjoy symptom spotting together!

kerryanne: funny, I actually enjoy a bit of ironing... but only if it's something like bedsheets that are flat and straight. I HATE ironing shirts and pants with frills, pleats, etc. Ha ha... I'm lucky that between DH and myself, I'M the pack rat/messy one and he's the neat and tidy one. I think it'd drive me nuts to have my DH's stuff all over the house... there's plenty enough of my mess to go around already!!

magic: I'm totally clueless about this Oing twice thing!! I only thought that because this is such a wierd cycle and my doctor casually said that it's quite possible that I have O'd twice in cycles past and didn't know it. I never actually looked into the "science" behind it! Silly me! Your hypothesis makes complete sense... if O'ing twice happened as often as my doctor made me believe OR with five days between, there would be a lot of freaky twins out there! Hmm... I'm gonna have to question my doctor when I see her next... FF puts a lot of weight on CM quality and a specific kind of temp pattern to pinpoint O so that's why I still think that Miel could be right, that I O'd earlier on CD 15. But, the evidence for CD 20 O is much stronger.

Cd 30, 10 Dpo

I very efficiently tidied up my office this morning so I'm allowing myself a break to catch up on BnB!

I'm feeling a renewed sense of optimism because I've crossed another milestone today. My temp was still high this morning and I'm at 10 DPO - the minimum number of D'sPO, as SwissMiss informed me, to have a sufficient LP. *PHEW!* Any extra days in the LP after this point are a bonus! Now, my next milestone will be tomorrow morning - 11 DPO. I've never had high temps past 10 DPO... and 10 DPO of high temps only happened once - in my May cycle. Usually, my temps start plummeting after 7-9 DPO until AF comes about 3-4 days later. Hoping really hard to see high temps again tomorrow, then the next day, then the next, and the next....!!

This morning, my first morning wipe came up with a small blotch of creamy CM again. Its consistency is very much like hand cream - it doesn't stretch at all... it's kind of like a wet paste. However, it soaks into the tissue within ~10 seconds so I'm not sure what to make of it! I barely have time to analyze it and play around with it and then it's gone, sucked into the TP! Anyway... I'm making an effort to stay hydrated again today and we'll see what kind of CM I get.

Hey Cloudy - I've been thinking about this chick, and actually I think you could be right! I've always believed that we can only ov once, and this article I just found says that is what everyone thought, but new research (well this article dates back to 2003!) suggests otherwise! Interestingly, the study was Canadian - so may be that's why your doctor knows more about it! I am a convert! Thinking logically, if one twin was ready to pop, then I suppose the other one would just have to come too, even if it was a few days behind! You learn something new every day!!!

Anyway, here's the link:

EEE! (That's an excited noise, I'm making!) EEE! Can't believe I'm on at the same time as you, Magic!! Yay! I'm going to check out that article right now. How fascinating! And, what's even more fascinating is that it's Canadian... we're not usually known to be "cutting edge"... we tend to lag behind in science and technology.

That was very informative! I wonder what advances and new findings they've made in the 5 years since then? Scientists have got to help us TTC ladies find ways to make the most of those "waves" and cause more of the waves to be ovulatory. When I get a chance, I'll try to look into more articles about this! You've got me very curious!!
