| After the doctor's appointment... First, most importantly:
all around to all you wonderful BnB pals o' mine! I'm so sorry that all I can muster up is a measly "Thanks" in reply to each of your wonderful messages. They are BIG THANK YOU's!!!
It's been an emotionally draining day today. Phew... glad it's over. I finally have some down time to digest this and think it through more rationally.
I went to my doctor and she is not at all worried. She told me to get worried if the sensation becomes very umcomfortable/painful, prolonged and/or accompanied by a fever. She said those symptoms could indicate appendicitis. She gently chided me when I asked if I have fibroids... she said that I'm too young for fibroids. I'm turning 30 in a few months... is she right? (She's a great doctor but all the pregnancy books mention things like fibroids and cysts... I need more opinions). She also says that until AF is late, I shouldn't count myself out this cycle. She didn't seem very concerned about the temp dip but she's just a general practitioner so perhaps she doesn't know enough about BBT charts.
As for the pulling sensation... she said it seems that it is one of those many, many little things that our bodies do that we cannot explain, and are nothing to worry about. So, at the moment, I have set aside that worry. Big burden off my shoulders... phew... |

| CD 26, 12 DPO yaya, jolyn and magic: you are so right. There is still hope... my temp is not below the coverline and AF has not come.
I'm feeling much better now, after a busy day of work (took my mind off things), the doctor's appointment (got rid of a big worry) and now, being back on BnB! I've calmed down and have had time to look at the facts more carefully. And, funnily enough, my dear friend, the pulling sensation, has returned . or , I'm ready for it. It was just such a "traumatic" way to wake up this morning... Monday mornings are terrible enough as they are!
Here's a symptom update, just to document (sorry if TMI!!):
- sticky CM turned from its usual cream/yellow colour to a darker tannish brown yesterday evening until mid-morning today... it's back to being cream/yellow coloured
- periodically felt a wierd "gush" of warmth in vaginal area... kind of like a gush of menses when you stand after sitting for a long period of time... but absolutely dry, with no fluid
- brief tingles of sharp pain/muscle spasm/itchiness in bbs throughout the day
- lots of energy today, not fatigued at all
- sweat glands on bbs still slightly raised... not as raised as they were a few days ago |

| CD 27, 13 DPO (Morning update) Feeling kinda silly after I did some poking around in my pen and paper journal last night. Turns out my symptoms are very similar to my last cycle, which ended in AF. ~sigh~ How quickly I forget things... I should have looked back in my journal before getting all excited, thinking these symptoms were P symptoms when, really, they're AF symptoms. The one thing different this cycle is that the pulling sensation lasted longer and was more intense. However, the consistency of my CM has followed last cycle's to the letter:
First, it starts with tannish brown-coloured sticky CM that then changes back to cream/yellow-coloured CM. Thin veins of blood streak the CM 1-2 days before AF comes. The blood streaking stops then CM turns to a brown-blood colour. AF begins with some brown blood then turns into the usual menses consistency (dark red blood). This cycle has followed that pattern EXACTLY so I know AF will be here today or tomorrow.
Also, though my temp did not dip today (it stayed the same at 36.3), I've had temps exactly like that before during my February cycle. CD 26 and 27, it was at 36.3, then it fell to 36.2 CD 28 and AF came right on schedule.
So, thanks again for the positive thoughts, gals... but looks like will be coming for an unwelcome visit within 24 hours. |
