Magic: I'm like you. Most months I go through this thing when mid AF, when I still wonder if I might be PG! I've even retested mid AF to be sure!
Still keeping everything crossed for you, and hoping that you get that BFP and have to "suffer" a drink-free holiday!!!
xxxx

Sound advice!!!! I may not be able to go back to my early 20s, but I might start a side line selling HPTs and OPKs!!!! Could probably afford to buy myself the best fertility treatment in the world then!!!

6 Dpo

I had one small smudge of pink cm actually make it on to my knickers yesterday, so I have put down yesterday as spotting on FF.

The last few months when I've been checking my cm at this time of the month, the pink cm has put me off because I thought I would probably bleed afterwards.

Last night I thought to hell with it. I was feeling quite down about lots of things and wanted to be close to DH. I didn't tell him about the cm, so in a way it was a sort of experiment too to see what happened. Well, sure enough when he pulled out there was a fair bit of fresh blood on both of us.

I don't know what this means at all. I know I won't get my period for another week. I have had this before and been to the docs, and that's why I take progesterone. But it's still happening.

Did some research on the net as my head is spinning at the mo and found this:
http://www.inciid.org/printpage.php?...tility101&id=7

and I think I might have "Failure of the uterine lining to respond". Something to do with a luteal phase defect but not that you don't have enough progesterone - it means that the womb lining doesn't respond correctly to prg. and can cause spotting as well as infertility. Sounds likely in my case, and at least gives me something to ask my gyno about. Apparently it's treatable with Clomid.

Feeling low. I'm pretty sure that no implantation is going to be taking place in a womb which is leaking blood. Roll on CD1 - 11 days to go

Oh Magic hun, so sorry that you're feeling down. Don't know what to say about the spotting/bleeding: I'm just so sorry hunnie. The good thing though is that you did fall pregnant before so it is possible!! If this cycle is a bust then maybe it will be a good idea to see yr gynae so that they can do some investigations & see if they can do anything to help You so deserve yr !!!

Huge fat

Yaya xxx

Hi Magic- sorry to hear about this but glad you are working to figure things out. Just one correction though- the article doesn't recommend Clomid for those whose linings fail to develop, but rather increased progesterone and poss. HCG injections:
Quote:
Women whose linings fail to respond to normal progesterone levels often have normal follicle development and adequate progesterone levels at 7 days past ovulation. An ultrasound image of the lining at seven dpo, however, will show a lining that has failed to convert from the triple layer lining typical of the time of ovulation. In this case, women are often given additional progesterone supplementation in the luteal phase in the hope that a higher level will be the push that the lining needs to convert appropriately. Some doctors use injections of human chorionic gonadotropin to further stimulate the corpus luteum. However, these injections can cause false positive pregnancy results.
It does, however recommend Clomid (or injectibles) for those with inadequate follicular development:
Quote:
If follicle development is normal, then progesterone supplementation during the luteal phase is normally the correct treatment. If follicle development is inadequate, an ovulatory stimulant such as Clomid or an injectable drug may be in order; these drugs help the follicle to mature more appropriately, which has the double benefit of producing a higher quality egg and a better-functioning corpus luteum
Anyway, hope that is helpful at your doc's visit- hats off for making the decision to go- with any luck whatever it is will be easily correctible and you will have a sibling for your LO in no time!

I had to read this three times to get my head round it! yes, you're right (as always!) Insominimama. Well, that means I'm already on the medication if that's what it is, but it doesn't work.

F it all.
