A temp like that at 4 DPO means something!!! I think it's a fantastic sign! Anything that makes yr chart look different from other months is a good omen in my view!

I always use the 'silent' old fashioned mercury thermometer -- my body wakes me up at the same time (within about 15 min) to temp every morning! I stick it in for 5 min, doze, take it out and then go back to sleep for another hour or so. My OH is usually completely unaware!! Hee hee!!

Honestly it was the tiniest tap! It was in my hand and I touched it against the bedside table by accident and the end snapped off!

Yeah! I like to look on the bright side though - "obviously" it was a defective thermometer and could well have broken in my mouth especially if I'd fallen asleep with it in (99% likely), and I would have ended up with a mouth full of mercury! (What would THAT do to you? ) See - I could have actually saved my own life this morning!!!

Hope you can get another themometer. I've been holding off temping for similar reasons to you not doing it every day: don't want to be waking my DH when he's on a late shift.
But: my have to start next month. My FF chart looks rubbish without any temp lines on it!!!
Good luck for your BFP this month, and then you can smash as many thermometers as you like!!!!
