| magic: I can't find that particular Zita West book here in any local libraries (I'm too cheap to buy any books before I'm absolutely sure I love them and will use them over and over!) but I have been reading another one of hers, "Fertility and Conception: the complete guide to getting pregnant". It sounds very similar to the one you have. I've always had a pretty healthy lifestyle too so I was very happy to find myself saying "Yes! Already do that!" to a lot of the stuff West mentions in the book. About the Traditional Chinese Medicine: I'm Chinese but a Canadian-Born Chinese so I'm familiar with TCM but also wary of it. If I spill the beans to my family and let them know that I'm TTC, I'm sure I'll hear no end of TCM ideas for getting P!! |

May be that's the title in Canada?
I think the Chinese medicine thing is something you probably need hands on experience with before you start trusting it. My FIL uses acupuncture for a back problem, and he swears by it, but I'm still not convinced! I hate needles anyway, so I couldn't do it. I believe in the general concepts though, of having a balance in your body and lifestyle and of positive thinking. I know from my own experience that positive thinking really works. That's why I'm trying the visualisation thing now! I have to admit I skipped a lot of the stuff about ying and yang and all that, as it just seems a bit weird to me. I might go back and look at it again when I'm at a quieter period in my life! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Cd14 Bd'd with the Preseed again last night. This time I was glad to have it as I was just a bit too tired to make a proper effort so it was an easy option Definitely going to be useful on days like that (of which there are many!!!)
My opk yesterday was quite a lot darker (although not positive), and what with the possible ov pain 2 days ago, I am wondering if I'm in for ov a day early this month? Normally a CD16 girl, but the signs are pointing to tomorrow! Had a small temp drop today too, which could be a sign. That would be great! |

I've allowed my mom and other "elders" in my family to coax me into trying various TCM methods every now and then. I usually only go for it if I've tried a bunch of Western medicine techniques that didn't work (e.g. as a teenager with terrible acne). Some work, some don't, and some are known to be toxic by Western standards so one really needs to be educated on the specific treatments before trying. (BTW: I also skipped over that "fluffy" stuff in the book... not for me at all! ) |
