Yaya xx | I've got lots of journaling to catch up on so I'm sorry to quote a post from waaay back... but I found it so interesting and helpful to know! I hadn't even considered that my cervix position could effect my sexual experience. That's why it sometimes feels so similar to sticking a finger up the nostril (i.e. sticking something where it doesn't belong)! |

| magic: I have a very low sex drive too... makes me very sad for my dear DH who tolerates it very well. I'm just holding my breath, waiting for the day when he gets upset with me for treating him like a sperm dispenser! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Cd10 Been playing with some of FF extra bits and pieces - what fun!
It tells me I should start using OPKs today, so I will (don't need asking twice )
It tells me my fertile window starts today , which I think is a tad cautious given that I'll probably ov next thursday, but what the hell!
I also tested out the due date calculator- to see when my daughter was probably conceived (as we weren't paying attention to AF at that time!!!) Her dates were always a mystery as two docs told me she was due last week of July 06, and one doc told me last week of June. I always thought the end of June was right, but the caesarian doc thought she would be later, so he wouldn't schedule my c-section in case it was too early, as they should do it 2 weeks ahead of the due date. That would make it 6 weeks early if he was right with the dates and my doc was wrong. So we took a wait and see approach... I got contractions on July 2nd,got a taxi to hospital and had the c-section! so I think I and my doc were right, but when she was born the caesarian doc told me she was a month early..... I dunno.
Anyway, I just put her date in, as I had always suspected she was probably conceived on my DH's birthday -30th October. I put 30th Oct as ov date and the due date came up as - tadaaaaaa - 2nd July! Finally the mystery is cleared up! |

The BDathon has begun in earnest in Bulgaria!!! | The "Analysis" tab on the lefthand menu is full of goodies! The OPK optimiser tells you that, and the conception adviser is fun too - but the dates don't actually match! My stats say ov is cd16, but opk optimiser says cd14 and conception adviser says "around" cd14! So i guess ust BD whenever possible is the best plan! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | magic this has been confusing me too - if for instance i am oving today when has been the best time to bd? i read a thread this week that said the sperm needs to be dancing around up there for a minimum of 12 hours before it can fertilise the egg because of some chemical changes - but i always thought that you jsut had to bd before ov - i am confused? anyone shed any light?
hope you are ok - and glad you are feeling better? good luck for this cycle hun. |

They don't let the sperm dance around for a minimum of 12 hours before adding the egg. I'm no expert, but my opinion is if there happens to live sperm around when the egg come down, with a little bit of magic and luck it becomes a baby regardless of how long it's been there. They say the best time for BD is the day of ovulation as most of the sperm will still be alive and swimming to catch that eggy. |
