I'm Currently Feeling: | CD13 Officially Narked off with FF Got some BD in last night At least that is one part of the TTC journey which is concrete, real and believable!!
I am getting really peed off with FF and this charting lark. I have had the green traffic light for 2 days, and today I am back to amber. My temp is lower today than yesterday and no pos OPKs, and hardly any EWCM to speak of, and none at all yesterday
I am going to keep charting all this stuff till the end of the cycle to see if I can make sense of anything, but if the turns up I am gonna go for the CBFM - this is doing my head in!
Gonna keep up the BDing as long as pos. to you all and I hope you 2WOW ladies are getting more results than me!!! |

| Aww, hun. We are both having a horrible time in the 2WOW!!
Do you think it's possible that you ov on cd 11 -- it would be consistent with the ewcm and you have had two higher temps since then. I see that last month your first couple of DPO temps were in the same (low-ish) range and then only increased substantially later.
Hope things make more sense soon chick!
Big

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hun you don't OV till CD16, so till plenty of time yet!!!!
Don't give up hope...your temps are good for pre-ov....and you are getting in the which is the most important thing anyway!!
I sometimes think that in all the charting and fussing we do, we forget that the most important thing is to get the spermies up the shoot and keep them topped up!!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Yaya - you could be right, I could've ov'd on cd11, Nat and Nic, you could also be right, and may be I've gotta wait till cd16. Who knows!
Last cycle i never got a solid line from FF so I have no stats to go by.
I have put "watery" into ff and have got the green traffic lights back but I'm not sure if I'm just being a fraud. I mean, it's kinda wet up there, but after last night's BD it would be. I can't tell what is supposed to be "watery" cm, but since it makes my chart look better I'm putting it! *Clutching at straws* |

I'm Currently Feeling: | CD13.5 Arrrrgggghhhhh! Someone please stop me from googling!!!!
I have just found out about the "SMEP" plan - Sperm meets egg. It's a non-temping way to have a good chance to get pg. Just looked at their website and it seems I am doing it already so far this month! http://www.pregnancyloss.info/sperm_meets_egg_plan.htm
I feel a bit panicky at the idea of not BDing every day though, so I think I will continue with my modified version!
Anyway, just browsed around the same site and read a load of stuff about progesterone (avid readers will know that I was prescribed it but stopped taking it but am all geared up to start again when O arrives...), and read this: The only situation where progesterone is a sure solution is with a luteal phase defect, where the corpus luteum, which is formed along with egg at ovulation, does not produce the hormones needed to sustain a pregnancy. For most women, however, this is usually not an every-month problem. Usually the situation rights itself with the next egg and the next corpus luteum. So now I don't feel so bad about not having taken it every month.
But then I googled the drug I'm on "Duphaston", as I saw something recently about it being discontinued in the UK. It turns out that: For several decades, progesterone and progestogens (such as dydrogesterone) have been used to maintain early pregnancy. However, this practice seems to have been based on theoretical considerations rather than robust evidence of efficacy. Although the methodological and ethical difficulties associated with conducting efficacy trials in these indications need to be considered, the quality of much of the evidence is generally poor relative to today’s standards. ( http://www.mhra.gov.uk/Safetyinforma...nes/CON2033920)
As you know, the medical profession here are a *tad* behind and I would so love to march into my doc's office with this. The report suggests that many doctors worldwide (implied, not good UK doctors) prescribe Dupahston willynilly as a cure-all for ladies' problems. I never even had my progesterone levels checked - never. Not even when i was in hospital with the threatened miscarriage! My doc's questions were basically about my cycle length, and he looked up my hooha. I did have a blood test, but I was not tested for hormones. Grrrrrrrrrrr.
I am so utterly and helplessly confused now. I am gonna take the meds because I might as well, then may be go back to the docs next month if I don't have my and demand some proper tests. It will be about 12 months of trying by then anyway. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | CD13 Changed my Status to 12 months TTC When I signed up to BnB I couldn't rightly remember when we started TTC again after LO. I knew we were definitely trying whilst on hols last August, so I stuck that in my status.
Just been digging through some old emails to try and piece this progesterone malarkey together. A good friend of mine is a GP back in the UK, and I had asked her about it. She said this at the time: the duphaston can help to regulate periods &/or help with heavy bleeding, but, I doen't prescibe it often so not much experience with it. And in our book of all things drug related, it actually says that its not recommended for infertility / irregular cycles. It won't interfere with trying for a baby and it won't harm a baby if you get one in your tummy (however THAT happens). If you've got irregular periods and having probs conceiving then I tend to look for evidence of 'polycystic ovaries' which means blood tests to look for high testosterone level and the LH/FSH ratio. LH is Leutenising Hormone, FSH is Follicle Stimulating Hormone. Also, you should check you are ovulating by measuring your progesterone level on day 21 of your cycle (day 1 is the first day of your period). An ultrasound scan to check for any ovarian cysts might also be a good idea.
I think that was another reason which put me off taking it initially. That email was dated 6th Aug 07. I knew I was put on the Duphaston after a few months of trying, so I looked again and found another where her DH asks me How are you 3. are you up the duff again yet? He's a surgeon!
Anyway, that one is dated 31st May, so it must have been May when we started TTC, so here I am at 12 months already. |
