I'm Currently Feeling: | So had my bloods done this morning and they were faffing about like headless chickens in there, as though no-one had ever had these tests before? They had no idea about coming back for cd21 tests and wanted to do my progesterone today, had a right job trying to explain that I'm supposed to come back on the 8th Sep! Ended up having to pay for progesterone today anyway, and having it done, as it's grouped together with the LH and FSH...
Results are supposed to be available online, which sounds great... except that I've just checked and my glucose is up there already (it's 4 and should be 3.5-5.6 so that's ok) but there is no mention of any of the other tests. When I checked this morning it said "not ready", now it just has the one result I am really hoping they haven't cocked it up, but I wouldn't be surprised!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Just phoned them as was in a right panic thinking I'll have to have them done again... and the others will be ready tomorrow at 3pm! Pretty neat having the results online - never used to be that way, but it makes sense.... look at blood results, hit google, self diagnose before having to face doctor!! God he must hate me! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | God that sounds stressful but at least the bloods are sugesting you don't have PCOS.
They are still going to do the day 21 test aren't they?
Thought this may be helpful: http://www.fertilityplus.org/faq/hormonelevels.html |

| Wow, that is really quick on the results! I'm actually quite impressed with the Bulgarian medical system! And great news on the glucose test, it's gonna be really interesting to hear the other ones.

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hey Krissi! That is so so so useful - thanks chick!!! I'm not sure how to convert my glucose results to see what they would be in this system (or even if it's possible?) My results look like this:
The words say "Result", "Units" and "Reference Boundary's (i.e. normal values).
but the website says normal results are 70-110 mg/dl - ???? Anyone know how to do that?
Yaya - I am impressed too! When I first went to that clinic about 3 years ago, they did a blood test by jabbing your finger with a sharp object which they used with everyone without (it appeared) even wiping it afterwards! Now you get a reclining chair and brand new jabber thing and internet results! Thank god for the European Union!! |

Seems like they are really on the ball. Re the conversion from mmol to mg/l if I remember rightly (it has been about 12months since I have had to do this so will stand corrected) it is in the order of x18, which would make yours 72mg/l so that is normal. All the best for your other results... |

We really need to do something like that over here, it would save all the faffing about waiting for results! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Just wanted to say great news on the results- and the system...good stuff!!
And wanted to add that although most doc's dont like self-diagnosis, for obvious reasons, lol...mine and oh's always starts off by saying 'you've obviously read up on this/know about this/ researched this'...which to me always makes me feel like 'yeah, i know what im doing and im not gonna be fobbed off'. Like he expects as you would that im an intelligent person, you know? Having said that he's great at explaining things as well
Anyway, onwards and upwards hun!!! , Omi xxx |
