I'm back! Thanks for all the wishing of luck - much appreciated!

I am so glad that I have been on BnB for the last 3000 or so hours of my life, as I actually knew what the doc was talking about and managed to ask some sensible questions for the first time ever!
So, we went through my charts and he hasn't seen FF charts before so I had to explain what AM and PM meant which was quite funny, plus what all the various abbreviations of cm are etc.
I got an ultrasound and he said everything looked normal for a cd1, not that it means much, I doubt.
Explained about the spotting and that I didn't think the progesterone pills were working, and he said I should double the dosage and start taking them 2 or 3 days earlier in the cycle. I was really disappointed with this, as without having my prog. levels tested, how he can know it's the right treatment? Told him I don't really want to keep pumping hormones into my body without knowing it's the right thing to do.
So then he suggested stopping the prog., and going on bcp for 3 months. This is the point when I nearly started blubbing! He said that most women are super fertile after coming off the pill, but I don't want to be on the pill, ever again! And especially not right now!
I asked him if I could have some tests, since he hadn't offered any up to this point. And he surprised me by saying yes, that's the best thing to do..... WTF? So why not suggest it yourself then doc???? Bizarre.
Anyway, I'm going for cd3 bloods tomorrow morning and cd21 on 8th September, then back to him with the results. I'm not allowed to take any supplements this month, even vitamins or folic acid. Feels a bit wrong, but he wants to see what comes up in the bloods without any external factors and I guess that makes sense.
Asked him if he thought the spotting was a contributory factor to not getting up the duff, and he said yes. He said that with this kind of spotting, a fertilised egg will have nowhere to go, so it's almost impossible to get pg.
Asked him whether DH should get a SA and he said that here they don't generally bother unless there is something "suspicious" ie illness, alcohol or drug abuse or an operation..... but that if my results come back ok it might be worth taking a look. This seems like a totally different approach to in the UK, but Bulgaria is still a really macho society and I guess the blokes here like to think the problem general lies with the woman! Grrrrr.
Anyway, I feel good that I'm getting the tests done. Even if all they prove is that my progesterone
is crap and I do have to start taking the megadoses, I will be happier in the knowledge that it is as a result of a test and not just a seemingly random diagnosis. If my levels come back normal we are going to look at stimulating the ovaries (I guess the Bulgarian version of Clomid).
Tomorrow's test is for Prolactin, FSH, LH, PKK and glucose.
The Cd21 test is just progesterone.
I am now going to Google heaven so I know what all those things are!!! I have heard of all of them except pkk (no idea?!) but need to be armed with facts. Any good websites anyone can recommend?
Thanks again for being there chicks! It means the world to me to have so much support!
