I'm sure your french is better that you prentend Is your husband french ?? I've only lived 14 month in England (7 years ago !) I was just finishing school and my English was terrible plus I was living in Yorkshire and the accent didn't help !
When I met Andrew, I started learning better (I did a lot of nodding and smiling at first, couldn't figure out what he was saying ) and in fact I improved my english in France ! I was lucky to keep speaking English at home but once we'll live in UK we'll have to speak french at home if I don't want DH to lose his french !!!

Let's say my French is very collaquial!! For example, Parisians will usually refuse to understand me, but everyone else has no problem! I was an Aupair in the French speaking part of Switzerland for 10 months, and then in Paris for 3 months, but when I was in Paris I hardly got to speak French at all as the family were Australian.
DH is Swiss, his first languages are Italian and Spanish (as his mother is Mexican) but actually his English is probably better than either of those now as he speaks it all the time!! His French is very good, we quite often speak to eachother in French, if we're shopping for example, and for some reason if I'm angry I tend to speak French.. oooops, it just sounds better!!

I'm the same ! I swear a lot more in English than in French It doesn't shock me as much

I feel like an elephant has been using me as a rocking chair.. but that's because I did weights at the gym last night, which I haven't done since my op.. oww oww it hurts!! So tired, we went into town earlier, which is crazy because UEFA is being played here and the first game is tonight.. anyway, was in a shop and started to get bad nausea, but might just be because I'm oh so tired.
I'm on CD23 of a 30 day cycle, and I was very very naughty earlier... I did my early hpt test!! It was BFN, no surprise there!!

Ah well Nic, I can help you there... the rest of my vocab may be lacking but one thing I can do very well in Spanish, Italian and French is swear like a drunk sailor!!
