I'm Currently Feeling: | Right then - I'm feeling super strong this morning - ready to make that call to the docs when they open at 8.30!
Feeling quite well in myself today - my bbs are still big and hurting, but apart from that nothing so far. Perhaps those hormones are finally working their way out.
I've been looking around on the net for similar experiences to this - can't find anything really. I even went on the cow and gate live chat thing about pregnancy - fat lot of use that was - I explained everything to the nurse on there and she said 'hpts are not for use before a missed period and won't give u an accurate result if u use them any other time' - what the ****? What are they teaching them these days? I've used hpts at all different times and never ever got a bfp except for the time I was pg!
Anyway - most websites seem to explain that a pg as early as mine that didn't progress can absorb back into ur body or come out as normal period later on - so I'm hoping this is happening and not an ectopic. I think I would be getting more pains or symptoms if it was ectopic.
Well I think this post is long enough for early morning reading now, signing off until I talk to the doc xx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Good luck Jo, thinking of you. In my personal experience you'd be in a lot more pain if it was ectopic, but I guess if it's really early then maybe not. Anyway, fingers crossed for you xxxx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Goddam it - I got all ready to ring the docs - rang them and said I have to ring between 12-2. I've got a meeting at 10 so hopefully by the time that is over it'll be time to ring - I'd go stir crazy otherwise!!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi Jolyn
Hope you are doing well . The whole idea between recognising early symptoms of ectopic is that you can catch it before there is any pain and therefore before there is any damage. The pain only starts around 6 weeks when the embryo gets too big for the fallopian tube and is in danger of rupturing. With an ectopic your HCG levels rise, but not the way they are supposed to, so tests can alternate between positive and negative, depending on the sensitivity of the test.
I was thinking that since you have these symptoms they can't refuse to give you a quantitative blood test. If it is ectopic (which it probably isn't) they'll be able to treat it medically before any damage is done that could affect future fertility. If it isn't, you'll have a clear answer as to whether you are pregnant or not. It seems you really have to fight for a blood test in this country - you have a situation in which you have a right to demand one. If they still refuse, say you want it in writing that they're refusing to investigate even though you have symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy. That should spur them on
Good luck |
