I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi KitKat, sorry I've not been around - lots been going on for you! I'm so glad Mackenzie is ok, that must've given you a fright!
I know I'm not a Dr or speech therapist.. but I was an Aupair to a little boy who sounds very similar to Kian. He was tested and shown to have high intelligence, but his speech was delayed as had been other milestones. He was 4 when I started working with them, and his speech was a really jumble, though me and his Mum could understand! It's obviously not exactly the same situation, as Lucas was brought up in a bilingual household, though his Dad (French) would always start speaking to him in English (and his accent and English was crap) then remember he was meant to speak French with him and swap halfway through the sentence, so I think that's why his speech was so confused. Anyway, what I wanted to say was that as soon as they moved back to Australia and he started school with other native English speaking kids the difference was amazing, his language skills developed so much in one year. It sounds as if Kian could benefit in the same way, he doesn't really need to speak properly at home because everyone understands him, but if he's in school he'll want to speak with the other kids. I would keep an eye on him, and maybe reconsider in 1 year if there's no improvement, but let him go to the normal school. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thanks girls yep it was scary ihave never done that glass test on a rash where the rash never dissapeared i was like a mental woman trying to keep calm, the rash is still there she has to go back on monday for more bloods but they are 100% sure its not meningitis,
faerie thanks for the advice, yeah we have told the school kian wont be going to the special school, im thinking of sending him to normal school or home schooling him myself for 1year, he is only 4 next month i read on the internet that kids in northern ireland start school younger than any where els, finland to name one place, the kids dont start school till there 7, so i think home schooling for one year would be great for kian.
of to bed now 2morros the big day im so excited courtneys very calm and asked me why i was soooo excited i told her i had been waiting to get her in to a white dress since the day the doctor said ''ITS A GIRL'' lol
oh nearly forgot the came 2day grrrrrrrrr i hate her lol im not to bothered just hate been at the start of my cycle lol
have a great weekend every one |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Sorry the got you Kitkat. Sounds like you've got lots to keep your mind off it anyway!
Here in Bulgaria the kids don't start school till 7 either. When I tell people we start at 4 in the UK they look at me like we're barbarians!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | hiya yaya
im on cd5 2day still haven't got batreys for my cbm need to get them 2day,
i'm feeling alot better now about kian, the people that live next door to us are big knobs, the wife is mayor of a town and the husband has a seat in parliament, so of i went last night to see if they could help me with kian, because of his late b'day and all that so i bussed to get in the gate and was so nervouse because although they live beside me i don't know them lol but any ways the wife took me in and was so helpful and it turned out she is also a member of the education board for northern ireland, so she has told me to keep kian at home for a year and she will see what she can do for me as keeping him back 1year so i'm on 2day, the fact i have a mayor and her counciler husband who has a seat in parliament behind me i feel now like i'm fighting for kians rights and for whats best for him.
thanks yaya all i did for most of the day was take pictures lol |
