Hmmmm could be?! They say it can take 3 months to come out of you're system don't they

I kind of came off 1st week of Feb Feb and got a withdrawl bleed on holiday 20th/21st feb (but I didn't count this as trying cause I came off half way through a cycle. then got my first reall af Sunday 23rd March (although wasn't really expecting anything then as I though it would still be in my system.)then Sunday 20th april, then sunday 18th may like clock work.

But nothing this Sunday... that's why I'm confused and maybe thinking it's a longer than normal cycle.

hmmm - this is exactly what happened to me when i came off it. I just stopped taking it abruptly too - got the withdrawal bleed after about 2 weeks. AF came as regular as clockwork for about 3 months and then all of a sudden i was 2 and even 3 weeks late for af and wondering what the hell was going on. It only happened a few times and things settled down quite quickly. it takes some people a lot longer for the bcp to come out of their systems - i think it took me about a year - but my friend got pg the first month she came off it without even trying. everyone is different hun but that could be it. If your body is getting used to having to ov on it's own again then it might just be getting used to doing it alone again.
I would still test again though in a couple of days to see what is going on.
There seems to be something in the air at the moment.

It's good to know that this happened to you too and that I'm not just an alien or something

Thanks for you're input wishing, I guess it's just one of those things where only time will tell!

Hiya, sorry things are all a bit confusing at the mo, but fingers crossed it's for the right reason and not just a late AF!

I came off BCP about 2 1/2 - 3 years ago. Like you I was regular as clockwork, right up until DH proposed 9 months ago - I blame him of course My cycles just haven't been the same ever since. We had a 3 month engagement and been TTC 6 months so far - I just wish I could get my clockwork cycles back. Things seem to be settling down a bit now but I did like it when I knew exactly what and when.

Really hope it's a good sign for you though.

Just a suggestion, but it might help you to chart your temperatures for a while to help you track when you ovulate. I have found them invaluable over the last 6 months and now know my cycle inside out. Mine fluctuates a little bit, but I am now convinced that if I did get pregnant, I would know how to read my body signs better as a result of charting.

It's not for everyone, but if you had have been charting this time, you would be able to have a graphic image to help you determine what's happening. It's also useful to show to your GP if the need ever arose.

Hope your answers come to you soon, preferably as a BFP.

Thanks Tish, I think I will start charting as soon as shows up. There's still no sign today and I POAS (well in a cup actually ) this morning and got a with both a regular cheapie internet stick and a first response.

I'm definatly sure I'm not pg, but when af doesn't show up it make you wonder....

I thought my cycles where regular as I got a few perfect 28 dayers with positive opk's to say I was Ov'ing bang on CD14 but obviously anything can happen when it comes to your body!

I'm just going to try and forget about it and if there is still no af by next week maybe see what the doctor says about it. It's my birthday on Friday and I have lot's planned to keep me busy and my mind off things!

DB is taking me out for lunch and shopping on Friday followed by a big girlie night out on the Saturday night (can't wait ) then my mum and brother are coming round for Sunday lunch

So in the meantime I have new carpets being fitted and a new bed for DB's LO so if all this can't keep my mind off silly then nothing can!

I hope everyone else is doing good and I'll come round the journals to check up on everyone shortly!

Love TT's

xxxx

I just don't know anymore!

If I was it would explain the positive OPK's but it wouldn't explain the 'symptoms' or the positive hpt's

Just plaing the waiting game now
