Well, we have just had the letter from the NZ immigration and we have been rejected due to OH's degree not being in IT.
Despite the fact he is hugely over-qualified in his field, has relevant years experience and multiple additional IT quals; due to his degree being engineering rather than computer science all the other stuff counts for nothing
I am SO cross .. the web site doesn't explain this, we wasted £400 submitting an application for them to throw it back on a technicality that was not previously explained

They are crying out for IT Security specialists (which he is) he has all the IT Security qualifications CISSP, CISA, MCSE, Prince2 .. yet because his degree is in engineering they don't count

AND they are saying his degree is not a 'proper' one due to it being from Oxford and therefore a 4 year Bsc and Masters - MEng - but because you go straight in to the Ma after passing the 3rd year NZ immigration say the degree part is not valid.
I really thought this week couldn't get worse, but apparently it has.
And in light of all this we may have to put off TTC as OH is worried about the cost implications of going out pregnant/with a very little on
Sorry for the rant, in so cross/upset/angry/unhappy about all this
