My 18 year old cousin has just informed me she's 5 weeks pregnant. She split up with her boyfriend last week, and they were only together a few weeks.

Gutted.

To be fair to her, she was on the pill, so I'm assuming it was an accident.

She drinks, smokes, and lives a home with her mum and two sisters (mum and one sister also smoke) and the house is no place to bring up a child. I think she'd move out into her own place if she could, but I know her mum, my aunt, will hold her back, and she'll be forced to stay at home with my aunt taking over alot of responsibility. No way is she ready for this. She seems happy. Meh, what can I say...

On the plus side, after having a conversation with my Mum about my cousin, she now knows that DF and I are trying, and is supportive, so, thats all good

Aaanyway, as for me, still no + opk yet. Ticker says I should be oving tomorrow though, so can't really get too frustrated yet.

Was at college this morning for my induction/enrolment. I start on the 1st September. Can't wait! Also, my little brother's adoption is finalised today! I'm off to the court at 2:15 to see it all being finalised. It's been a long time coming!! Also, DF is off today, cause the council is on strike, so I have some company all day, yay

Monkeh get BDing then! sometimes OPKs are a bit temperamental and don't get positive when they should, bo if you think you might be Oving tomorrow then it's a good idea to BD today anyway

Sorry about your cousin, it's always the same isn't it? People who aren't even trying and not that bothered about trying fall pregnant by accident while us mere mortals have to put in months of blood, sweat and tear! Glad your mum is supportive of you and DF, your baby will be well loved and wanted when he decides to make an appearance

Ah, yesterday was good Was literally in the court for 5 minutes, but it was such a relief. We've been waiting on this being finished for years! Went out for a nice meal afterwards and then back to my Mum's for a glass or two of champers The topic of conversation of course turned to babies, so my Mum informed us that she wanted to be main babysitter! lol. She has said to me she reckons it's a good idea for me to be starting at this age, what with my suspected PCOS. She's happy, I'm happy, DF is happy. It's all good

Yeah, we're still BDing even though OPK isn't + yet. As soon as I get a + one, though, the preseed will be out! It seems loads of people get their after using it, so, fingers crossed

I'm also still getting rather teary when I think about my cousin being preggers. The family have all announced it to the world (via bebo, with sayings such as 'Im gonna be a mummy! woop woop!' etc.) Which is annoying me. She's only 5 weeks. And if I see the words 'woop woop' one more time, I'm gonna.. well, I don't know what I'll do, but, yeah...

Ah, I'm sad. When it's someone so close to you who gets something so easily that you want so badly, it kinda hurts. Sigh.

The way of the world just doesn't seem at all fair! There's people like us, trying and trying and desperate for a child - people who would love and care for their child, and then there are people who just get knocked up without trying
