I'm Currently Feeling: | Awww how sweet hun, you will be allowed a pet? Yay!!
I have to agree, there are pro's and con's to both a Cat and Dog.
As I'm a Mummy to 3 Cat's and a Puppy I can say Cat's are fantastic if you will be working all day and away from home as they are so Independant and are happy to stay at home alone.
They are clean (well apart from one of mine who has his Wii moments )
Mine love to play and have cuddle's sometime's and sometime's they just don't want to be bothered. Sometimes that make's me sad as I wanna play all day, I get sooo bored
Depending on what dog you get will decide on how much walkies they will need. Mine only need's very little when he is old enough to go out. Although his grooming need's are high, which is cool as I have something I can practice new hairstyles on
Some breed's are difficult as they require alot of excercise like erm... a sheepdog or something.
Doggies are more demanding and babylike and excellent practice for mummyhood. OH said the same thing this morning. Gizzy wakes us up 2-3 times a night for a cuddle. We actually love it even OH said it's great practice and he doesn't mind abit. He was actually wanting Gizzy to wake up the other night as he wanted to play with him...it was 1am :/
He is very clean in the house as he uses his training mat's.
Both have Pro's and Con's though and I love them both. I am making a fuss of Gizzy though as in a funny way he has almost rid me of my lengthy TTC. If I don't get a bfp this month I really couldn't care less I am loving every minute at the moment
Your decision will have to be based on your lifestyle and personal choice. Each of them have benefit's and they are both lovely sweet animal's.
I am soo happy for you though, good luck chicken!

I'm Currently Feeling: | I so agree with Kaelia, but then she is a wise pet owner ..ha, ha... but true though.
I think you'll find people who truly love pets we're not gonna be all like ' get a dog, they're best' or ' get a cat they're best'. They are all lovely- find what works for you chicken!! xxx
ps, Get a cat !! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Aw honey
I think a pet is a fantastic idea. I have 3 dogs and a kitty and would not be without them for a day. (Mind you while I type this miss Mum-to-be beside me here let off a high pitched bark and scared the shitter out of me!) ) - but like I said, wouldn't be without them. Yes, they are a lot of work, but you get so acustomed to doing these things it doesn't feel like work, it ends up being just another part of your day. They are very smart animals, both dogs and cats, and know when I'm upset, or cranky or lonely and they react accordingly. If I'm in a pissed off mood, they are no where to be seen! If I'm upset, they are all cuddled with me on the couch. Honestly, a pet is a great idea I believe |

I'm Currently Feeling: | CD12 HIGH (yes no PEAK yet and we only have tomorrow! )
Got in a mood last night for no reason - oh, ok it was because i'm going to be by myself from tomorrow until friday evening! So because of my strop we both fell asleep and no BD so now i'm telling myself 'yes, smart move, now you will blame last night if you don't get '
Any how, we made up for it this morning and it was great!
On the pet front - a MASSIVE THANK YOU for all your comments and ideas. OH would like a dog but having thought about it, i think in lots of ways a cat would suit me better at the moment. I'm doing some research as I've got to be prepared but how about this one: or
I can't have these because they've been sold but i could have one like them in six weeks if i put a deposit down now. They are Ragdoll Kittens and I can take them for a walk and they will like to be groomed and will follow me around and will come if i call their name! They are very family friendly too! I don't know what to do as I don't want to miss out on one but I feel I should wait to see if I get my but will have to wait until around 19th May to test. They are £350! |

| OMG!!! OMG!!! Super Adorable Alert!!
Those kittens are absolutely gorgeous! I WANT ONE!! Hun, BFP or no BFP I'd get one!! Rag dolls are wonderful cats -- they are apparently one of the most docile & affectionate breeds. I say GO FOR IT!!!

I'm Currently Feeling: | Oooh I love Ragdoll Kitties!! A friend of mine has one and it is the most beautiful looking cat. Big blue eyes and ever so floppy and cuddly. It's called Tosca.
I also love Persian's. I have always wanted one..Maybe when we get a bigger house I can talk OH around again haha!
Ragdoll's are very expensive but so are Persian's. I saw some advertised the other day for £400. Still they will be worth every penny.
Our doggie was £500 but OH said he would have paid double the money for him if he had too. Aww He's a big softy at heart!
Good luck with the kittie hunting Chicken. Have you picked out any name's yet?

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hi Tansey, just going through your journal but all thought were pushed aside when I saw that freakin beautiful kitten!! Oh my gosh I want one!! My big baby was hit by a car 3 weeks ago (RIP Taz), he was a Chartreux and the most beautiful cat, so clever, playful and intuitive. We have another called Ziggy, or should I say I have another because I got him when DH was in the States on training, hee hee, who just turned one. He was rescued from Romania and he's listed as Chartreux but he's def not pure as he has white patches under his front legs (so cute). I reckon he's got siamese in him, he's super intelligent and full of mischief! I want to get him a girlfriend and it looks like a ragdoll might be the answer.. now when is DH on training again.... |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Oh I can not believe I lost the cat vs. dog debate and you have now already decided on a cat!
Don't do it! STEP -- AWAY -- FROM -- THE -- KITTY!
I PROMISE you that you'd love having a doggie more! Seriously, you can cuddle them and they look into your eyes with so much adoration it's worth all the poop scooping in the world!
Do I need to post pictures? Don't make me Google sweetness and find photo proof to spam your journal like I did with Kaelia's! | | | | Status: Offline
