I'm Currently Feeling: | Guys,
ive got nothing to report today. Im officially on strike but un-officially im having a slutty day...schlepping my feet around the house in slippers and generally looking very crap indeed. Im keeping my eyes on the clock cause although im wasting time right now and looking abysmal, i refuse to let OH in on this depravity so soonish i shall have a bath and clean the house. That way i can open the door and look like a semi-Stepford wife wannabe when he comes home, lol!!
Ive added a new blinkie- in line with our desition to drag that bfp kicking and screaming into the New Year!! Yeeha!
Also, if anyone feels they're part of the International Auntie's Club and are not completely embarassed by my home made blinkie- feel free to add it..so far i look a bit silly..im the only member LOL!!!
I saw Nic again yesterday and we had a fab time, as usual!! My oh dropped by as well so that was fun! We've decided we're having girls next September. So thats settled.
On the cbfm front- it moved a day, thank god. So asked for a poas today cd 7. This is good news and will therefore definitely catch the ov this month. Next week!!! Yeah, i know i said sept..but who's paying attnetion to that, eh? You listening Storkie?
Hope you're all having a lovely wednesday!!
Big , Omi xxx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Aw, thanks Chris..thats lovely!!
Well, ladies...this is the news.
OH read in the Metro ( a free newspaper on public transport for those of you who dont know ) about a new study that has potentially great impact on us ttc.
OH is on medication for his Crohn's disease. He's doing really well on it and when we were at our doctor's the doc said it could have some impact on his sperm, however its impossible to say if or how much without a SA. We researched it online and found that most studies had found very little impact if any.
However, yesterday's study showed that another medication OH is on (on a very low dose) has been shown to cause damage to the sperms dna. Normal sperm has a 15-16% chance of dna damage..whereas on this medication its 30%. Gulp!
The strange thing is that it hasnt gotten me down- au contraire. I feel releived to know it may not all be my 'old' eggs thats the problem. And that if we dont get pg by Christmas we are perhaps more likely to get the ball rolling with fertility treatment asap!
OH has decided, as encouraged by our doc, to get the SA done within the next few weeks..and we'll take it from there.
I have another friend on IVF at the moment. Im very happy for her as she's been waiting for ages!! My other friend who mc in Jan while on IVF is going to try again next month (apparently they were supposed to try this month..but they forgot to call them with an apmt. WTF??) Anywhoo..i think im more likely than not to go down this route but im not bothered tbh. OH was also very sweet when i said that private fertility treatment can cost up to £4000..and he said if that's what it takes we'll deal with if we have to..aw! Made me happy to know that he's as determined as me to get a baby!!! Of course in the meantime its the NHS. I have nothing bad to say about them from personal experience.
My only worry is that my 2 friends above both had to wait about 2 years for treatment..and needless to say thats very frightening to me as i'll be 40 in less than 18 months..not that im counting or anything, lol!!! Having said that Arcancegirl said it only took her 9 months...so i dont know but hope very much i fall into her catergory as we're all in the same NHS board area.
So thats how things stay at the mo'. Im looking forward to a lovely friday with OH and some drinks Maybe we'll also book a b&b for that wedding we're going to in Oct..so far its looking like we'll stay in a tent unless OH gets his finger out, lol!!!!!
have a lovely friday ladies!!! , Omi xxx |
