I'm Currently Feeling: | Aw, thanks Carmen...you're so sweet!!
Im taking it easy mentally this month. Although, when i realised af is due mid holiday i started wondering whether i should bring hpt or just wait like a good girl..(note to self: I might be a good girl but i have no patience, lol)
I asked oh and he said ' lets forget all about it- lets just have fun and see what happens'. He's obviously the more sensible out of the two of us, lol!! I totally agree btw
And Carmen, you are so wrong..im already worried, i know the kitties will be fine and we have good people coming over and looking after them..but they're my babies..i just imagine then being all like....'oh...what happened?' or worse 'they've abandoned us??!!!'. I was really worried at xmas when we were away 2 nights, 3 days and i was convinced the xmas tree would be overturned and everything- but when we came home it looked as if we'd never left..i think they just slept the whole time- a bit dissapointing, lol!! But- reassuring as well. And oh loves them like crazy but he is the sensible one so as long as all the t's have been crossed and i's have been dotted he's not worried- unlike me, lol! They'll be fine. But i'll miss them nonetheless
So im counting the countdown to ov... I really am quite relaxed about it, even if get i'll be fine. However, after reading the site Tish posted and it says not to delay going to doc at this age. So i said to oh i'll go to doc after holiday and asked if he'd come with me and he said 'of course'. Ah, bless... so thats the plan. I'd feel better i think if i knew i had a backup plan, you know. Yep, thats defenitely the way to go.
So that's me for now..just hoping i'll be lucky and catch the eggie this time..but at least we have a lovely holiday to look forward to so will be an easy month i think in a way.
Big to all!!!

I'm Currently Feeling: | This bloody age thing is doing my head in - 35 or over = game over? zita goes on about it and websites like the one Tish found. First we got to worry that we can get pg then we got to worry that we'll have a healthy baby.
I might leave it a few more months then go back again and get CD3 (or whatever it is) bloods done to check quality of eggs. I'm not waiting forever for action!
Anyway, you won't need to go docs when you get your July |

I'm like this with my kitties when I go away too. We miss them like mad and spend half our holidays wondering what they are up to etc and worrying about them. A friend told me on Saturday that her neighbours cats went really odd after she got her and vicious after her LO was born. Hope that never happens to us. We have images of baby snuggling in with the kitties etc. Let's hope so! Some days I think I'll sack off the TTC nonsense and just get another kitten!! But really we want baby first and then to buy baby a kitten of her/his own. (just a good excuse to justify getting kittens really!)

Omi xxx | Hiya Omi! Your plan is eerily like mine! I am putting my hols first and if nothing has happened by the time we get back then I'm going to bite the bullet. (I'm 35 in August and been ttc 15 months now for no2.) I'm dead scared - I don't know how I would handle being told there is something wrong - bit of a sissy!
I've been racking my brains to think of some cool things to do in Paris - problem is that I lived there from 1999-2001 so it's quite hard to remember! I've still got a few friends there, and I've asked one for some tips but he hasn't got back to me yet- I'll let u know if he comes up with the goods! As others have said, Montmartre is really lovely (I used to live there!). If you wander round the back streets (right hand side of Sacre Coeur) its' really quaint and you can see Paris' only surviving vineyards! There are loads of lovely parks to stroll around and stop for a picnic and I'm pretty sure that the museums are free on the first sunday of the month(don't know if that ties in with your dates?) Notre Dame is free all the time. The Marches des Puces (Flea Market) (Metro stop Clignancourt I think... line 4?) is Fab - it's the biggest flea market in Europe and is chocka with everything from priceless antiques to rusty bits of wire! (Watch you handbag tho!) You could spend a whole day just ambling around there!
Will post more if I can dredge any more up! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Oooh just remembered something else useful! There is a magazine called FUSAC which is in English and has like a Time Out section as well as lots of other useful stuff. Definitely worth picking one up if you can find it! Most of the British style pubs hold a copy. The website is here: http://www.fusac.fr/en/lieux_categories.php if you check the postcode of wherever you're staying you'll find one nearby (may be even in the hotel!) |

I'm Currently Feeling: | The age thing is certainly an issue.....WTF??? I know that its ok to get prgy, but then you have the % of bubs being born with down syndrome~ argh!
We decided that we werent going to have the scan and bloods done seeings as it doesnt matter to us if we have a baby with down syndrome...we just want a baby!
So many things to worry about! But all you can do is pray and hope! So I agree with your OH...enjoy your holiday and have fun in a different place (without the cats watching! Do yours do that?). Mine are usually asleep on the bed and while the bed is-a-rocking, they dont get off! funny huh! hehehe
Im like you (as you know) about the cats and going away! But as for getting jelous of the baby they definatley were NOT! They loved sleeping in Jayden's bed at the bottom of his cot near his feet! It was very cute! They were scared stiff of his crying though...very funny! to you and have a great time in Paris! |
