Sorry too about the running. Good to hear that you've got a plan set that'll work out your frustrations and make you feel better too. I used to run a lot. Does wonders for your moral and your backside. *wink* Back when I was more ambitious. LOL These days running after the boys is plenty for me. But seriously, running is one of those things that starts out slowly and then before you know it you'll be running a 7min mile. You'll see, and it'll feel great!

Happy Anniversary Nic!!!

Aawww!! Love the photo's.. You both look so lovely!! Really, really lovely. I have to say you havent changed much, though Nic..although the darker here obviously is a change. Very nice though. Is it anything like that now (minus the updo obviously...ha, ha )?

You do look about 12, though Nic, lol!! But thats a good thing. Hey, i looked about 12 when i was 24 too! Once i even got thrown out of a petrol station for trying to buy fags in the US and the petrol guy said i either had a fake id or something was seriously wrong with me, Wtf? Ha, ha! So dont take it the wrong way..what i mean is that you looked and still look very young, ok! (you can tell im terrified of offending you and then DH comes home and it'll be all my fault that you;re upset..gulp! )

(i also love the little bolero type thingy..i want one too for my wedding.No way im gonna scare little children and animals with my flabby bingowings, lol! So I really need one. )

Anywhoo..how are things? Im bored stiff and are trying, really trying to get my arse up to start doing things...oh, and the ov wait. Dont get me started, lol!

Hi girls, I actually feel quite good about things again! I think it's just the pms that lasted a bit normal than usual! I opened all our cards when John was ont he phone this morning and I've managed to fit into a dress where the buttons pulled an awful lot the last time I had it on! So that's good. Superp I really hope you are right about the backside! It's on my hips, thighs and bum that weight always goes to first. Unfortunately it's been there so long now it's also settled on the arms and tummy now so I no longer need to just concentrate on area it's an all over miracle I need. I'm about a stone and a half heavier than I was when I got married and Omi, 12?! 15 surely?! John looks mega young but hey we had no worries back then! Truthfully though I think I still look quite young for 30 but my mum and gran both look young for their years as well I think.
it's only lately that time has started to catch up with my mum, but she's 49 in a couple of weeks and holding down a full time job, running after a 10 year old, looking after a wrecked 30 year old recently and my dad has spent about a year or 15 months of the last three years in plaster and crutches so she's had a lot to deal with! I feel so guilty when I look at her and wonder why the hell she was able to have two kids completely unplanned (she was 19 and 38 - first time too young and second time too old!) and pretty much sail through both pregnancies! But she had a horrendous labour with my brother (forceps delivery of a 10lb 15oz monster baby!) and we think she lost a twin early in that pregnancy too. Anyway where did all that guff about my mum come from?! I love her to bits though and wouldn't change her for the world

Do I look like that now? It's hard to tell - a bit heavier and my hair has a reddish tinge which was unplanned but I guess it beats the 'khaki' colour the hairdresser told me she was trying to avoid!!! Eeeek!!!!

I still haven't managed to sit down and discuss the training plan with my friend. I never quite know when to chap the door, their little girl is coming along in leaps and bounds but unfortunately her stomach hasn't grown towards the esophagaus as much as they would like (I don't think anyway) I got a text to that effect and haven't wanted to intrude on them too much. Bt I am desperate to get started now. I have family coming to stay with me from Fri to Wed (part of my grandparents golden wedding celebrations) so I don't know if I'll be able to get out then and John is talking about trying to get a bit of sun for Octobers O time.

Anyway, I'm off to finish processing some photos from our last trip up north. I've not been able to get back to them since i started about a fortnight ago lol!

Meantime now I have discovered how to upload photos I am going to bombard you all! This is me holding Ross when he is about 2 hours old - before my mum even held him which I didn't realise at the time!

And, yeah..you havent changed much, Nic! You're mum looks very young in that pic too although how anyone could look anything but half dead after giving birth to that humongous baby is beyond me, ha, ha! ?

No dumpling, i never said she was too old, those were her opinions!!!! She's been great with both of us. More patient with me I would say, but more experienced with Ross.
I love the new ticker, I spotted it just as I clicked off your journal. I was thinking my tickers needed updating as obviously the patience dust has not worn off on me and I am still desperately impatient!!!
