At the moment I'm temping and stuff but not being too careful. My hubby is away at the crucial times this month so I know there's no hope for this month. Looks like an '09 baby for me.

Its been tough since coming home from our break. I didn't say immediately as I still needed time to digest everything but the morning we flew home one of our friends collapsed and died from a massive brain haemorrhage. It was instant, although they kept him alive for about 24 hours as he was an organ donor - his death has helped five other people.

He was only 39 and leaves a 9 year old girl wondering where her daddy is. Incredibly sad. He is buried tomorrow and DH is a pall bearer. This will be the first time he's done such a thing and I'm worried about him. Not least as he has to fly to London tomorrow night before heading away again for another month.

It's put my ttc worries on the back burner this month.......

I've also had two other friends tell me they are PG.......!

Hi Nic, you have a great journal and I'd like to wish you luck for when your OH is home again, it seems you did everything right last cycle - all those twice a day BDing! Sorry got you, she got me as well!

Sorry to hear about your friend, it is so awful! Keep talking with OH so he can express how he's feeling when he's ready, he's got an important but stressful job to do as pall bearer.

Here's to a 2009 baby, if we can't have a Christmas one!

Thanks for the kind thoughts girls. Things have to get back to normal somehow.

Its CD 11 for me and I've only been half heartedly temping this month, my chart is quite amusing really! I've got a cold and I'm feeling sorry for myself. Tonight I think I'll open a bottle of wine, have a bath and an early night. The excitement......

And i totally agree w/what you said about sudden death of your and my OH's friend. So shocking and sad and if nothing else it makes you grateful for what you have....

Im not doing anything ttc wise as yet (naturally as still have af...) but taking prenatal tabs and baby aspirin..i try not to get too bogged down in this stuff as i dont think its healthy, and honestly i dont think it works.. main thing is to be aware of whats going on (i.e.ov) and try to enjoy the bits in between. And that is, by the sound of things what you're trying to do. Well done you..

I think you both must be an amazingly strong couple as being apart is never easy, but you both sound like on the same page and tcc in those circumstances i think, makes you stronger!
