Had an appointment with G.p yesterday to get him to refer me for a reassurance scan because i had tubal surgery in january and I am higher risk of ectopic. He said he would call the hospital today to arrange scan and that the hospital would call me back.
My G.p called me back and said that he called the hospital and they said that they would NOT do a reassurance scan because I havn't had a miscarriage or a previous ectopic and that I would have to wait until my 12 week dating scan or pay privately
WTF............ he said that they were clamping down on the number of referals for early scans because of the amount requested.
So....I called the hospital to ask them why and they said " If your doctor has refered you for a scan then we cannot object"??????? I argued that I had just spoken to my G.p and relayed to her what he had told me and she basically said that he was talking BO....ks
So hospital say I can have a scan as long as G.p refers me and G.p says that hospital said no!!!!!!!!!!
So either the hospital felt like winding me up at the time or my G.p is a total Fu....g lying bas...d!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Called my consultant to try and arrange a private scan and he is on holiday for the next 3 weeks
So wtf do I do now.

sorry for the rant but I am seriously pissed off that they are taking this so lightly.

stick to your guns hun it all sounds a bit fishy, maybe see another doctor at the practice?? id def get a second point of view.

Cheers Hunxx Ended up booking a private scan for the end of next week cause I didn't dare call the doctors after the message I left on their phone last night LOL

Midwife called me today which was a bit unreal, she booked first appointment to come and see me on 18th April!!
I'm feeling a bit weird at the moment, I can't seem to get excited about being pregnant because i have convinced myself that I am having an ectopic.
Stupid...I know but I have had it drilled into me that much since we first started talking about having my tubal reversal, that I really think that it's gonna happen. I hope it doesn't and I hope to god it is just me being paranoid, but it is a real fear. I also think that my frame of mind is also rubbing off on Dh which isn't really fair, it should be a happy time for us both but it is clouded by these niggling thoughts. Dh said today that he will relax once we have been for the scan, which is excactly what I have been saying for the past few days so I know that it is on his mind as well.
Eternal bloody pessimist...... didn't think i would get pregnant, panicked about that .....and now I am pregnant I think something is gonna go wrong.
Anyway..on a lighter note......I have been BANNED from seeing my G.P
Apparently he didn't appreciate my outburst on the surgery's answerphone nor my bad language, so i said that I didn't appreciate being lied to either and would be switching practices anyway.
It's turning out to be one of those weeks I think

Hey there Nat!! Just catching up after my week (of h'll) away... Believe me, I can understand your fears - you were absolutely right to demand the care you need!!!
I shall now live vicariously thru you, btw... Miscarriage in process here...
Take heart - one in 7 women, supposedly, and for this forum, this month, it seems, it was me.
Keep us posted on the results of the scan. And if you've not had any pain, "prune juice" discharge and are still "feeling" pg, you'll be FINE!! Big to you, sweets!!

As for being banned from your GP. Well, what can I say? If you are actually banned and can never go back, I'd call them one last time and really give them a piece of my mind. As long as they don't report you to the police.

That's not real advice by the way.

I was just banned from seeing that particular doctor, there are 6 doc's there so I can just see one of the others.
For all of you that don't know It looks like I may be coming back to the TTC forum. After a week and a half of BFP'S and a confirmation from my doctor...I got a BFN last night and one this morning!!!!!
Been to the docs ( saw woman doc this time) and she has taken BHCG test and is letting me know the results tonight or tomorrow morning.
If levels are high I will need a scan to see if I am having an ectopic, other than that it could be an early M/C...just don't know yet
