Woohoooooo, did another OPK, less concentrated urine though and the line is similar, so if I'm lucky I´ll have a temp rise soon! I really hope so, because then I´ll be counting 1 dpo instead of cd 1 Much better!

I'm still sooooooo confused about this cycle, have my hormones gone crazy? I had signs of O and massive signs of a progesterone rise ...... is it possible that my body thought it had O'd, then realised it hadn't ... and prepared itself again? lol ... silly body.

Isn't this consistent with what Tishimouse said about you having an anovulatory one? Wouldn't AF time pass unnoticed and then your body would O again at the time it should have? Are you 28 days usually? That would make you CD 11 or CD 12 essentially and Oing normally.

It makes sense, but I ovulate around cd 19 or so, my "fairly regular" cycles are around 35 days.

HOLY CRAP! I'm about to pass out from stress! The other day I applied for a summer job as a journalist for one of Iceland's big newspapers. They made me take a 3 hour written test some 10 days ago and I just got a call from them ... I have an interview next Wednesday!! That means I did good on the test!!!!!

I'm trying not to get too excited as they're probably interviewing 50 people, but I'm still proud of myself and reeeeeally nervous for the friggin interview! I'm actually more nervous for that than the exam I have tomorrow morning

Hey congrats on the interview!!! Just been reading (stalking) your journal with great interest!!!

I have read that your body can gear up for ov and that you get the pos opk as normal, but then for one reason or another you don't ov. However, it's not the end of your cycle so you can get another surge of LH and another pos OPK and a second chance! Fingers crossed for you hun!!

PS I did a module in Old Norse when I was at uni - I even learnt a tiny bit of Old Icelandic as part of the course!!! It was back in 1992 though and I got something like 39% in my end of course test (which is ok, because 37.5% is a pass in English Uni's)so I can't remember any of it . I was more interested in the literature than learning the dead language (silly old me)! Anyway, best stop rambling - good luck in your exam too!!!

Oooh I just remembered something! I can't remember exactly but the verb to go is somethign like "ganyam" isn't it? I remember finding it interesting because my OH is from the NE of England and in his dialect they say "I'm gannin" to mean "I'm going" (yes we were together all that time ago!!!)

That's so neat that you studied this stuff In the old language "ganga" is both to walk and go. In modern Icelandic the verb means to walk, but ganga is also used for the english word hike.

Frankly I'm about to pass out from boredom, been reading the old literature WAY too much. I do love some of the stories, specially the oldest ones about the norse gods, but some of the stuff is horrible, like the stories of some old bishops ..

Hmm we didn't do any stuff about Bishops - or i was asleep when we did! I remember Loki and and kennings... Can't say it's served me much purpose in life learning that stuff but it was fun if obscure! xxxx
