I haven't been around to post, I was out of town in this nice hotel with my OH. I think I mentioned it before, it's this one: http://hotelbudir.is/ and it's fantastic!!! We stayed one night and had a 5 course meal The hotel is located next to a glacier and in the middle of an old lava field and it was soooo romantic eating at the restaurant and looking at the sunset over the glacier

We forgot our good camera but I took some on my phone while we were driving:





And here's one taken from the hotel room window, you can't see the glacier because it was really windy and there was snow blowing over it, but you can see the lava:



Oh by the way, this 2ww is already hard for me, I wanna test even if I'm only 3 dpo

Oh memories, memories. I adore Iceland. You've put a big smile on my face by posting your photos. In fact I'm off to get my album and have a reminisce.

I am lucky because I can drive for 1-2 hours and see amazing things. I am ashamed to say that I don't do it nearly as often as I'd like. Me and OH are gonna try to take the kids for a trip around the country next summer and see the most beautiful spots. I haven't been to some since I was a kid.

We do sometimes take a midnight trip (when to kids are at their grandparents) in the winter when it's really frosty and walk down Almannagjá, that's a sorta gorge in the middle of Þingvellir national park, just maybe 30 minutes away from Reykjavík. It's really spooky and we find a nice spot and just sit and talk and watch the northern lights make patterns across the sky. Hmm maybe I can find a pic of it ..
