I am so sad to hear that you miscarried - that had to be very hard.Did your Doc tell you to wait after the miscarriage? Had you ever had any GYN issues before? Good luck to you, my friend!!! |
HI! Doctor just said to wait for one cycle so that my body can 'regulate' itself. However, there are lots of women who have go pregant a couple of weeks after miscarriage and go on to have healthy pregnancies. Some other websites say to wait two or three cycles. I spoke to my doctor about this and she said that one cycle is fine (it's mainly for dating purposes - so if you do get pregnant they can roughly estimate when the baby was concieved) and that trying after one cycle does not mean an increased chance of a miscarriage (although, annoyingly, again you read conflicting reports on this

).
I have had no gynaecological issues as far as I know. My periods are regular. Apparantely miscarriages are very common - especially in a first pregnancy (body adjusting to the change etc) - but that by no means indicates that everyone will have one in their first pregancy - just look at the first trimester for that. Most of the girls who found out around the same time as me are doing really well. The chances are around 1 in 4 (although, research indicates that it can be higher as some people will suffer a miscarriage like me around about 5 weeks and may not have even considered testing then and would not have known they were even pregnant).
I am praying that I get pregnant again quickly and hopefully, this time it will be a 'sticky' one - a healthy and happy nine months.
I really hope you get your BFP this month as an early Christmas pressie!
