Note To Self:

Hi,

Well, I can't promise to post every day, but am in the mood for noting my experience so far.

It's early days and I'm already constantly thinking about babies and bumph (not a misspelling, I mean all that goes with ttc).

Getting my head around the OPK's and have tested for 3 days now with a lovely control line on all days and a test line that darkened a little on day 2 ... then disappeared on day 3. Mmph! What it means, only time will tell so I'll carry on testing and see whats happening on the inside. It's all about getting to know my 45 year old body, which I thought should be easy enough. I had no idea it would be this scientific.

Of course, no project of mine could be simple and I'm addicted to research for anything I get into. Trawling the internet, I came across some folklore and fortune tellers and simply couldn't resist the urge to get a reading. Look:

Your reading reveals (although your liking the pink bundle) a baby boy is coming. Your BFP news comes the month of April 2008. His EDD/birthdate is referenced the month of January 2009..the 4th and 10th are referenced.

I didn't mention a 'pink bundle', although truthfully if I had a chance I would pick a little girl munchkin. That doesn't mean I would mind, I am just being honest and saying that if God gave us a choice, then I would ask very nicely for a girl.

It will be rather exciting to see if she is right.

Tra la la, day 11 and first test today shows just the control line. No sign of a test line, so no idea where that's gone. Maybe it will make a welcomed appearance closer to day 15.

Oh the suspense!

As I mentioned on Tiffany's Journey topic, are you taking folic acid whilst trying to get pregnant? Most women don't seem to take it before they are pregnant but it is actually to be used whilst trying to get pregnant. I swear by it because I had been trying for 4 years and was told to take folic acid in September. So I started it and low and behold I'm now pregnant.

Hi there,

I am as luckily enough the nurse at my doctors surgery gave me the advice the day I came off my pill. It's only my first month and she recommended taking it for about 3 months before ttc. Good for baby too, so I'm on board with that one.

Thank you for your post though, I really appreciate it and congratulations on your bubba-to-be.

Mmmm! Don't know where that test line has gone. I'm wondering now if I've already ovulated. Could be the case as it's only my first month off my pill.

Day 14 now and meant to ovulate tomorrow, so we'll see.

Well, it's day 15 and should ideally be my day for ovulation, but no sign yet.

OPK results so far this month:

CD09 C + T (light test line) (am & pm)
CD10 C + T (slightly darker test line) (am & pm)
CD11 C (only) (am & pm)
CD12 C (only) (1255 hrs) then C + T(very feint T line)(1830 hrs)
CD13 C + T (extremely feint T line)(1330 hrs) C (only)(2300 hrs)
CD14 C (only)(am & pm)
CD15 C (only)(am)

C = control line
T = test line

I have found a really informative website http://www.sisterzeus.com/basics.htm which I would recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about ovulation.
