I'm Currently Feeling:  | Chrissy's TTC Journal
I'll start by introducing myself properly. 
My name is Chrissy and my husband's name is John. We got married on June 16, 2007. The wedding was far from perfect, and I'm learning to deal with that, but the best part was that John and I were and still are married. I'm 26 and he's 27. We live in NWIndiana and I work in the "darling" Windy City (aka Chicago).
We originally decided to wait until 2008 when we got another place to live (more or less a house), but we both decided back in August, that was a no go, we both want a baby now. And actually he had a revelation just recently that he wants a baby before he's 28 or he wants me far enough along before he's 28. That's only next August.   But now my personal goal it to hopefully be preggo by Christmas b/c I wanna do a Christmas reveal to family and friends. Actually I have until Jan 4th b/c that's when our big family party will be.
The first month we were just playing it by year with the ovulation part. This past month I've been doing BBT and it's the most CONFUSING thing I've ever done. My temps are ALL OVER the chart. My best-f recommended I buy a ovulation kit. So I did just that. I bought the Answer Ovulation kit. It was $20 for 20 tests. I won't start testing until after my period, which I'm due for on Friday. So next Wednesday or so I'll start with the tests.
Lastly, I also own two GREAT books!! One is called the Fertility Log and the other is called Taking Charge of Your Fertility, by Toni Weschler. Both are great!!

I'm Currently Feeling: | The doc's appt.
I had my first preconception counseling appt with my doc back on September 20 something. He did a tranvaginal U/S and he said it all looks great. He did TONS of bloodwork. There was on scare b/c he said my thyroid was hypoactive, but he retested and it came up fine. He told me though, that's something we need to watch and when I get preggo it can come back. He didn't have me start any prenatal vitamins, which to me is odd, but he did tell me to start taking folic acid pills.
Lately (within the last month and a half), I've gained about 15lbs and for me that's a lot. I've also been very very tired, irritable/crabby, hungry, getting headaches. The doc said it sounds like I'm preggo, but I've been getting my periods like normal. I know you can get your periods when your preggo, but still..... I went in yesterday for bloodwork. I have yet to hear back from him. I have a feeling I'm not preggo. I even went home last night and took a AHPT and that came up as neg as neg can be. Not even a sign or hope for a positive. So we'll see what the doc says. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Ok I haven't heard anything from my doc yet and I'm getting antsy!! LOL
Also, I talked to the genetics office that I have an appt. with on Thursday and they told me to just bring in my medical records!!  B/c I have 26 years and 3 file boxes of records. Have they lost their mind?? They originally wanted me to just fax it. That wasn't gonna happen. So tonight, I'm gonna go through the crates and only find relevant info. Good thing there's nothing major on TV, other than Biggest Loser and DWTS results. So I won't miss much. | | | | Status: Offline

TMI but Jess and I have only had sex once since we've been prego and I slept with my water bottle between my legs that night b/c it was cold and numbed the pain!
