Hello I'm new here, and AF came for me on Saturday also. Can I join you two?

Absolutley! I'm brand new too, and so far not having much luck finding anybody to talk to. Glad you're here! We started the exact same day, to boot!

This is my last cycle to try, (Husband is going to Iraq) so hopefully we'll have some good luck!

Wow, sorry to hear that he's going to Iraq.

This is my first month to try. I had an ectopic pregnancy in April. I had found out that i was pregnant (I had gone to the doctor because I was bleeding and thought it was my period but it was still on after 2 weeks.) and the next day i had fainted in the grocery store and was rushed to the hospital. I ended up having emergency surgery and my tube had burst.

How long have you been trying? Any good advice?

Oh my goodness!!! I'm so sorry to hear about that. Ectopic pregnancies are such a scary phenomenon. Have they discussed your chances of pregnancy after such a thing?

I'm not as obsessive as some women when it comes down to trying. That's not to say that all the charting and whatnot is not useful, because it certainly is. At one point, we had to do all of that. (Before our first) We tried for several years to no avail, and finally had to see a specialist. It turned out to be something VERY minor and we conceived naturally the next month.
This time we've been undecided as to whether or not to try since he was leaving and being such an indecisive woman, I waited until the last minute to make up my mind. Lol. We've tried off and on the last few months, not really paying much attention. This cycle I'm going to get an OPK, watch for the signs and have a go and see what happens. I really hope it works because we'll not get another chance!

Yeah, that last pregnancy was very scary, the doctors were going to give me blood transfusions but it turned out that they needed to. She said that I was lucky I survived it.

I said that if i had another loss then that's it. So, I felt I needed to try one last time to give my daughter a sibling.

I plan to get a OPK this month also. I checked the O calendars and they all say i'll O around week of the 10th, but i'll check for the CM too. I started taking folic acid tonight.

Are you worried about being pregnant while your husband's away? I'm sure you have prepared yourself for that though.

Well Good luck buddy, I hope this our month!

I'm terrified of being pregnant while my husband is away! That's what took me so long to make up my mind, and now it's a little too late. My son is 3 1/2, and we never thought we have the kids so far apart, but there's little you can do when you live the military lifestyle. I'm just hoping and praying that we don't have secondary infertility.

As I said, we only have this cycle, so I'll do what I can. Going to watch CM get the OPK, have a little fun....
We'll see!!

Its funny you mention how you didn't want children that far apart. I'm the same way, but i've had a lot of problems along the way. My daughter is 7 years old right now and will be 8 in January. Its hard for me to grasp the idea of having kids so far apart. My sisters and I are 9 and 10 years apart and I hate it.
to us this month

I sure hope is in our immediate future! It's such a long shot for me, that I'm not going to get my hopes up too much. I'll just enjoy my husband for the last few precious weeks we have together.
I'll keep an eye on you, though. You know that you can conceive, so that's a huge plus for you! It's only a matter of when.
I'm not sure that we can conceive and I didn't want to go see a specialist and make things so technical right before he leaves.

I'm so excited for you. I can't wait until you post happy baby news!
