ttc straight after miscarriage... any buddies?

Well, today I finally had my ERPC - I should have been ten weeks on Friday, but it appears my baby died between six and seven weeks gestation. My partner and I have talked it through a lot over the past week since we heard the bad news, and decided we want to try again as soon as I'm physically ready - I've been told by two doctors and a nurse that there is no reason we can't start even before my next period, so essentially that's what we'll be doing. My partner really, really strongly wants to just try again right away, and honestly, I think it would help me to feel less terrible too if I could get pregnant again.

I guess... just wondered if there's anyone else around who's at a similar stage/in a similar situation and wanted to chat? All the other "trying straight away" threads seem to have been going for ages and I don't feel right about just jumping in!

(I suppose technically I'm actually 'waiting to try' right now as we're waiting for me to heal and stop bleeding, but this seemed the best forum to put this in.)

hey sweetheart, I'm so sorry for your loss! I lost my little angle at 9 weeks two days before christmas, had to have surgery as well The doctors told us to wait 1-3 cycles, but we went back on the ttc track right away and I was cd28 yesterday (Wednesday, since I'm in Germany and it's past midnight now) and I'm officially late now. Don't know if my cycle just changed because of the mc or if I'm already pregnant again.. I do feel quite preggo though
Just want to let you know there's hope and I know exactly in how much pain you are in right now Lots of baby to you!

Warm regards
Bentlee

Hi Bentlee - thankyou for your post, and I will keep my fingers crossed for you, let's hope you've been lucky straight away this month! It is horrible... I'm so sorry you had to go through that, especially right before Christmas. I found out that I had lost my first pregnancy on Christmas Eve last year (and this one has had some horrible timing actually, too), so I have every sympathy with you on that. *hugs*

Thank you. For some reasons Nov/Dec do not seem to be my lucky months at all though.. lost my Grandpa Dec'10, had to put my dog to sleep Nov'09... hope for a better winter this year!!

If you don't mind me being a little further ahead of you, I would love to be buddies?!

Thank you. The pregnancy was actually a huge surprise for us as we were not trying then...our youngest just graduated high school so, yeah, we were shocked. Then to finally get excited and look forward to starting over we learned the term Blighted ovum and were devastated.

Although it breaks my heart how many people are in the same boat as us it also give me comfort that we are not alone in our pain and in our hope to try again. Good luck everyone.

Hello lilblossom... so sad to hear you're going through this too. Like you said, it's some comfort to know that we aren't alone, though. Fingers crossed for a BFP soon for you too. *hugs*

Hi all, sorry for your losses!

I had a natural mc on christmas day and we (mainly me) decided to try again straight away.. However I was poorly roughly around my ov time so i'm just hoping we caught it beforehand!! I'm due AF on the 23rd of this month if all goes to plan (which probably won't after mc but we shall see!)

Good luck to you all ladies xxx
