Early Test No BFP :( :( :(

Well girls I was waiting to test on Feb. 5th and I was so exciting we would get a since we did everything right. I had to go to the doc for my shoulder and I needed x-rays. I got into the x-ray room and they asked if there was a possibility if I was pregnant. Of course I gleemed with a "yes." Not evening thinking about x-rays. So they said, "I need a urine test STAT!" She said that would tell us for sure if I was pregnant. So I was overcome with anticipation. I wanted the test to be a but I also wanted to know what was the hell wrong with my shoulder. So I went into the bathroom and did my urine test. I came out into the lobby and the lady did the test and had to announce, "NOT PREGNANT" into the whole waiting room. I guess this is ok practice for them, but I almost busted into tearsl They immediately came and got me and took me into the x-ray room. I was so sad texting my DH the whole time. My question is, if I were to start on Feb. 1st and I am a late ov'er, is it possible I could still "get" preggers? I'm so disheartened and so upset with the way they treated me at the hospital. I showed how I was upset at the pregnancy test, but they seemed to put it aside and did the "job" they had to do, which was take my x-rays. I'm glad to know that I separated my clavicle from my shoulder (which pains like a #@%$#), but too sad to know that I didn't get my that I expected. I just need some hugs and support ladies. We are in this game together and I wish you all the luck this year. Love you all!!

well my understanding is that you CAN infact still be pregnant because it was too early for you to test..i would wait until closer to the time when your AF is due and test again...Good luck....sending tons of babydust your way!!!

Thanks Tyianni!!! That gives me hope! I just just hope the x-ray did not have any affect on TTC. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed, but really no expectations. All I can do is wait...UGH!

You know... it's hard enough when you find out in the comfort of your own home with your man close at hand for a hug and reassurance and love but I can't imagine finding out in such a cold and public way. I'm sorry that healthcare professionals don't always understand the human side to their jobs. People have hopes, dreams, fears and all that "human" stuff and it's often closely tied to our health.
I hope you get your BFP very soon and can go straight into the arms of your man! Good luck hun! xoxo

I think there is still a chance! They only did a urine test, not a blood test! So its not for sure. And it sounds like its too early for a to show anyways, you haven't even missed your period! It's not over until the shows or you get your ! I'm so sorry they treated you like $hit! Feel better soon!

I would say it's way too early to test. I've read stories on here of other girls who have gone to the docs/ hosp for something completely unrelated to TTC but had to be tested just in case - they were given BFN at docs, but it was too early and later got a BFP at home! In fact I think one lady (I can't remember her name) who has a preg journal now had a scan during TWW and the person doing the scan said she was 99% sure she wasn't pregnant - but she later found out she was! So don't give up hope completely. I know how you feel (I'm sure everyone on here does). It's so easy to lose hope during the TWW, but never give up!!

I agree it could be way too early to test, and they should have considered that knowing you were TTC. I tested at 9 dpo and got a ...not even anything worth squinting at on the test, but I was pregnant x

Thanks ladies! They just made me feel like it was a "burden" for them to have to do a pregnancy test. I'm sorry if you were having a bad day, but don't ruin my hopes.

Anyway-I'm over it today. New day, new outlook! Staying positive is one of my New Year's Resolutions!
