Short LP???

I found my self wondering about my luteal phase the other day and figured I would give you ladies a shot!
I have a pretty short cycle (24 days), and It occured to me that maybe my short LP has something to do with the fact that I am 8 months ttc with no !!!! it makes anough sense in my head that even if I have a fertilized egg, if it doesn't implant and release loads og HCG VERY FAST then will come anyway ( since HCG is what tells your body to not have )

I really don't know , but it made me wonder.... what do you all think?

Hiya,

have you ever had any incling that you have actually been pregnant , cause otherwise your theory would be wrong(apart from the lp, but im getting to that next)

What i mean is, if you got pg, it would normally show up on a test and in that case, in your description, you would have a chemical pg. You've conceived but not implanted or implanted, but not well enough.

Now, you've told how short your cycle is but not when you ov, in which case i cannot tell you whether or not i think your lp is short, however, as a general rule a normal lp is quoted as as anywhere betwen 10-16 days..

As long as your body manages to have enough time to build a sufficient endometrial layer in your womb the actual days of your cycle dont matter- what does matter are the days between ov and af.

Hope that makes sense, hun!

According to the OPK I have a LP around 11-12 days... which is a little short. Nothing major though. I actually went to the Gyno for my yearly last month and if I had thought about it then I would have asked her, but as it figures I just came up with this a couple of days ago. Oh ya~ I actually do think that I may have had a chemical several months ago. I didn't feel any different leading up to AF, but she was particularly mean to me that month, and the flo was much heavier than normal (tmi sorry). So maybe about the chemical....

To be perfectly honest I'm not that concerned about because if we don't get lucky in the next couple of months doc has told me to come back in.... so we shall see!

11-12 is spot on!!! There is nothing wrong with your lp at all. Feel lucky to have a neet lp many, many girls have probs in that dept and this is one ghost you can put to rest, i think!

The average is 12-14. I have on average a 13 lp so i think you should be very proud of yourself, lol!

As far as the chemical....as a general rule if you have a nice lp your progesterone should be ok, which supports the pg. For some people, however its not very high, so it its not gonna make you go broke ( i notice you're in the States) maybe voice your concerns and see what they're willing to do.

All the best, hun!

Hi hun, I started using B-50 Complex vitamins and it made my LP go from only 10 days to 14 days! It is worth a try and won't do any harm. Good luck!
