TTC and Engaged

Hi ladies. This is really just me being a little nosey, but I noticed a few of you are TTC and engaged and I just wondered why you were going ahead with the hunt for the bump rather than waiting until you get married?

What will you do if your pregnancy clashes with your wedding plans? Will you go ahead or delay until the bub is born?

Sorry, just interested.

Well for me.... DF and I concieved but lost our little one (unplanned, but never unwanted). We decided that having a baby was more important to us than having a wedding. The biggest commitment to me is having a child.

me and my fiance are getting married november this year and is due in 2 days if she shows we will be putting ttc on hold until after the wedding as i dont want to be to pregnant and have all the stress of the wedding on top of that,

to answer the other i already have 2 children from my ex partner who i was with for 8 yrs so i dont see any real importance in waiting untill after the wedding before getting pregnant x

I asked the same thing in a wedding thread on here. We got engaged in 2005 and only planned to get married in 2010 last year but then realised that we would love more than any thing to start our own family, it just seemed right. I'm still waiting for AF after coming of BCP so i have no idea how long it will take, but have been thinking we may need to take a break in between for wedding planning and stuff because i know stress will not help but if it happens then it happens, i'm just hoping sooner than later, either way it will be a blessing

For us, we have been TTC'ing since April 08, and havent had any luck. Our wedding is planned for August 15th, this year. WOW, sounds wierd to say this year.
We are going to be keeping the date as it is now, because as it stands now at the time of our wedding I would be no more than 6 months pregnant, as I have just started a new cycle.
Good Luck Ladies!

Me and the Oh are engaged and have been TTC, I only came off BCP in spetember sp it was wishful thinking to think I would catch that quickly lol.

We're getting married in October so we're taking 6 months off from TTC now so that any pregnancy wont 'clash' with the wedding.

...bear in mind I dont mean 'clash' in abad way, we came to the decision that we would hold off for the 6 months so I wouldnt be a bride in my 2nd or 3rd trimenster as we felt it would make some aspects of the day more difficult.

But that was a personal choice.

I wanted to wear a particular wedding dress and that couldnt happen if I was in my 2nd or 3rd trimester....and the thought of being very PG at the wedding just didnt seem like much fun so we're taking a break.

I've got my fingers crossed that by August my menstrual cycle will have settled down and with some careful planning and the use of some preseed I may catch quickly so we can announce a tthe wedding or quickly after!

....then again you never know what could happen, I need to go see the nurse to get a diapragm rather than using condoms for 6 months and they arent 100% effective!!!! (in that case it'll be a good thing I found my wedding dress in the sale!!)
