We still do .. but them we have been TTC for 12 months and I'm blooming well not missing out on any type of action!
TBH I think TTC can take over life far to much, the odd 69er really isnt going to hurt!

I've heard it too - I don't see why you can't wipe it dry and then use Lube though before you start to BD, wouldn't that wipe all the saliva away?

i told my oh bout what had been written on here and jokingly told him no oral til i am pg and he laughed and said yeh rite!! i found this thread interesting to say the least!! and i laughed alot cause i think befor all the new medicens people did what they liked and didnt worry bout ov-ing how many cycles or temps or anything like that and getting preg just seems like it was so much easier cause no one worried and just got on with it!! dont get me wrong show me a stick an i'll pee on it cause i am bordering on neuroticly obcessed but things just seemes like they were so much easier back befor you know!!

Crikey..,.oral sex will never be the same now, when I think what some of you call it!

I think the main point of this being that saliva may not be an optimal environment for sperm, but its not exactly spermicide either....crikey....why would we stuff ourselves full of the contraceptive pill, if we had the choice of that or just insisting on a bit of our lady pleasures first....I know what I would have chosen for the ummm, 16 years previous to TTC!

And we must remember that this claim does tend to come from the manufacturers' of the so called 'sperm friendly' lubricants! They aren't exactly going to big up their own produuct by admitting that a bit of saliva would work as well, are they?

I do wonder how our parents ever managed to get pregnant with us....considering they had no Preseed, no OPK's, no CBFM's, no IC HPT's to pee on 14 times a day (no ebay to order them from!) and just a docs appointment at 3 months with a bit of old tummy pressing to confirm their suspicions......life must have been sooooooo simple!
