Oral Sex - yes or no when ttc? - Page 2

Well, we had oral sex last month, and I got my BFP so I don't know really. I have heard that saliva kills sperm as well though

LMAO I would never have thought I would be sharing so much information with people on an internet forum!

I heard this recently too - wish I hadn't!... So basically to get pg, no lubricant (unless pre-seed), no oral sex and we should all just be lying on our backs so the sperm swims the right way! LOL How are we supposed to keep the momentum going with all these restrictions?! I wish I never read anything and just relaxed! - could have lived a life of blissful ignorance.

Ok, this is really gross and way TMI but surely just avoid too much oral sex on OH when you're in fertile time??? If it's the other way round, surely not much saliva gets inside you anyway - lol I cannot believe I just wrote that on a public forum!

i have heard saliva can kill sperm. also, the whole positions thing.. i think no matter which way you decide to go at it your chances of becoming pregnant are the same whichever position you choose.

LOL....this thread sure has given me the giggles....maybe saliva does kill sperm, but on the average ejaculation (god I feel so weird writing words like that!!) they are like, millions of sperm...surely it can't kill them all?? In fact, I would be more inclined to think it would only kill the weakest sperm anyway?

I hav heard that it does effect it also but might not for everyone. When I was w/ first hubby I had 2 DD's 14 monthes apart and had tubal tying. Now just had reversal and will be trying w/ new hubby and we have 3 things against us , age (30) , only have one good tube, and found out hubby has low sperm count. With that we, well I am making sure everything is good even done to temping and ovu testing.

Btw this thread really made me smile and cheered me up! Not belittling anyone's concerns in any way as this oral sex thing has concerned me too... but I've had a cr*ppy day all in all - just came on my period after writhing around in bed in the early hours with painful cramps followed by an awful day at work... If I am ever feeling sad again, I will remember the expressions 'licky lady lips', 'less harsh on my little who-ha' and the very practical advice 'you could try hand jobs'!!!!

Good luck to all your ladies! I say go ahead and enjoy it. After all, once baby is here, maybe we will all be wishing our OH's had more time with our 'licky lady lips'! Enjoy it while you can hehe xx
