Clearblue fertility monitor

To those of you who recommended it - thank you. I have now bought one and have read on the instructions that you might like to give it two months cycles before starting to use it after coming off the pill.

What did you do?????

I've never used one before but I have just bought one myself (as I miscarried last month). I know I can't use it this month because you have to use it from CD1 and I haven't had my first period back yet. But after coming off the pill, I would've thought it would be ok to use. I suppose it depends on your cycle and how regular you were before going on the pill. When I came off the pill, my cycles were exactly 27 days so I would've been fine to use it. Good luck and sorry I'm not much help x

Thanks x

The box did say "some women may prefer" - so it wasn't a don't do it. I was between 26-30 I think - it was such a long time ago !!!

i have one and think its great.
the problem you will have comming off the pill is your cycle length, some women dont get there period for a while and can have long cycles for a while, there would be no problems using it but you might have to use lots of sticks,
ie if your cycle is 57 days you could end up using 35-40 sticks so would cost about £40 for the month.
if you wait til your cycles are more normal you use less sticks, last month was my fisrt month using it and i have a 31 day cycle and used 10 sticks

hope this helps

Have your periods remained regular after coming off BCP??? Mine were but my O date was all over the place (which I didn't know until I started to temp!!).
I waited 3 cycles, temping only before I bought a CBFM, then fell pregnanct on CBFM cycle 4. (so took 7/8 months)

They are fabulous... if you can afford one, get one!!!!!!
