BD 4 days before O... do I have any chance!?

Hi all!

Was so excited about this cycle! It's my 10th cycle and have been concerned I'm not ovulating so started temping bbt for the first time to check once and for all! For the first time EVER got a positive OPK two days ago, just loved seeing that smiley face I was so happy! And today (CD 14) my temps have taken a dramatic increase so think I ovulated yesterday on CD 13. So happy! Feel like I'm actually normal!

To be honest, that's good enough for me this cycle! Was just hoping I would O (am having it confirmed by bloods on CD 21) But just out of interest, me and hubby BD'd on CD 9. I wasn't expecting to O this early (if at all) as last month I had a 38 day cycle. And after getting the positive OPK hubby has been working away anyway so we couldn't try. I'm guessing it's highly unlikely, but any success stories/info about BD'ing 4 days before O and still getting BFP?

Hey

Would still say uve got a chance as spremies can live for 5-7 days so u never know. We BD 3 days before O and im currently 8DPO so FX for both of us x

Nice to know someone else is in the same situ! Exciting that you're 8 DPO, not too long to wait now... when are you testing? FX'd for you!! Let's hope those little spermies were good, strong ones then that lasted the few days until the egg showed up for us both! x

Hoping to have the willpower to wait until mon to test, having loads of symptoms but scared its just my body playing tricks on me and I 'feel' a bit preganant lol. This was our first month TTC so tbh the odds prob arent in my favour but im not giving up hope just yet!

Sperm can live upto 5 days only in the most ideal conditions. You have a better chance if you BD more often. But you still have a chance. GL.

honeycheeks - Thank you! It's probably a real long shot but at least I still have a small chance so I can still get excited in the 2ww! It's better than nothing as I thought I was out this cycle.

soph - Thanks and excited for you!! Let us know how you get on! Did you manage to get lots of BD'ing in this cycle? Any symptoms?

sweetcheeks - You never know you may drop in lucky first time, I did with my first little one! FX'd for you!
