TTC driving me mad... half tempted to back off a little...

Hey ladies, Just looking to write down what is in my head. I dont necessarily expect anyone to be able to reply so dont worry

I have been temping for a few months now and doing all that (i think) I can to help the spermies meet the egg. My cycles are not exactly regular but they arent that too far out to be impossible.

From looking back through my charts I appear to ovulate roughly 10days after my af stops. Without temping and charting I would never have known this. I dont seem to have any joy with opks and tend to use the temps for where I am up to in the cycle. My big question to myself is ... Do I leave temping for a month or two? Am I becoming consumed with it all and affecting my chances by getting stressed out and adding pressure to the situation? I would love to stop temping but in the same breath feel that it is my little bit of control in the whole TTC situation.

Thanks for letting me sound off

It sure helps TTC to de-stress. Personally I wouldnt recommend not temping, especially if you are good at reading your chart. Since your chart does tell nyou when you ov'd, I would think temping would not be a stress factor for you. There are odd cycles at times and you dont want to be wondering once you are past your Ov date, whther you really ov'd or not. That can put you under undue stress during the tww.
But feel free to do what you feel is the best for your body

Thanks ladies, I have started reading a book which I have found is really helping me. I think I will record my temps but not look at the chart if that makes sense. I have an app where I record temps so I dont have to see what it looks like all on one chart.
If that doesnt work this month then maybe not chart next month.

I think I am finding a little more perspective and think the book has a lot to do with it! What a journey TTC is!!

Thank you for your replies
xx

I think that sounds like a good plan. I haven't done the whole temping thing yet (despite ttcing for many many months). Plan on starting this month as I really want to know if I am defo o'ing.

Would be really interested to know what book you're reading.

Its called Bump & Grind: An A-Z Survival Guide for When You're Trying to Get Pregnant
I came across it while I was on Amazon. Just found it leveled me a little. I was getting myself tied up in knots and it seemed to talk normally about how things feel/seem when ttc.
