2 weeks late,2 BFN's..

Hey everyone...
I am not TTC and I was on the pill but during the last pack I was a little slack on it. Now I am 2 weeks late for AF and she is usually like clockwork with me. I dont know what is going on because I have taken 2 tests so far one at a week late and one at a week and 6 days late. I have sore boobies and I had some muscles aches in my back yesterday and also my stomach had muscle aches all day yesterday that felt like i had strained them the day before or something. I have had more CM than usual and I sometimes have to rush to the bathroom to check that AF hasn't started from the feeling of it. I have found that it hurts when I wake up on my belly after sleeping on it for a while and when I wake up I must roll over immediately. I felt nauseous for a couple of days, then felt unbearably hungry for a couple of days and then didnt feel anything until today when I had a nauseous spell for about a half hour tonight. Do any of these things sound familiar or am I just having wishful thinking? The #1 best thing that has come out of this idea is that my OH is now agreeing with me and that we are going to start "not trying but not preventing" which is a very big deal!

I recently came off the pill, and it does take a bit to get back to normal. I came off in September and didnt have a period until November, but it wasnt like a normal period - it was light spotting for 2-3 days. Took tests, and they were negative. The pill regulates your cycles, and so it can take awhile for your body to get back into a routine. I know that some ladies on here came off of the pill and didnt have a proper peroid for 90+ days.

I've also heard that depending on what pill you were taking, it can stay in your system for a good 3-6 months. But that doesnt mean you cant concieve in that time...I know a few ladies who have gotten pregnant in a flash after stopping the pill!

As for your symptoms, I had similar ones and just felt pregnant...but ALOT of pregnancy tests later, I think AF is about to start (had spotting yesterday, and now a little heavier). So I guess I'm one of the lucky ones! She came when she was expected!

Fingers crossed for you hun, I hope that you are pregnant, but if not - dont give up hope!

As Sammii said, sometimes the pill can take a while to settle out of your system. I've just come off mycrogynon so am waiting to see if my cycles go back to normal straight away. All the best and hope your cycles settle down soon. xx

I was on Mycrogynon too, and as you know, I might be coming on AF. So I was really lucky as to not have a long long long cycle! Good luckkk!!

Thanks Sammii - I've been on an off the pill a few times over the last (yikes!) 16 years or so because they affected my hormones a lot so kept trying different ones and then coming off them for a couple of years, then back on another kind etc, and have always returned to normal straight away so fingers crossed! The only think is I'm not as young as I was then, and also was on the pill for about 3 or 4 years this time, so am hoping that hasn't had a bad effect. We'll see!

I agree, it can take a lot of time for your body to come off of it what is happening with me is that this time it was just the end of the pack and was waiting for AF and it never came, I wasnt planning on going off the pill or anything and so it should have just been a normal period at the normal time.. But who knows! Guess we will have to wait and see...xo Thanks very much ladies

Cycles are usually a bit whacky after coming off pills. Give your body time to regulate itself. If you start getting really worried though, call your doctor. I'm sure everything is fine though.

Thanks, I am not going back on the pill just so I dont have to worry about having to come back down off of it, I am just waiting for something to happen haha. AF should have been here three days after I was done that pack and no sign of her yet, I am usually like clockwork with it.
