What should I ask my OBGYN??

So I have my first OBGYN appt since TTC on the 8th and as I was writing in my journal I was thinking about what I should ask when I go...
And I realized I don't really have any concrete questions as of yet.

So if you were me (or if you were you) what would you ask?
A general question I have come up with is:
1. What can I be doing differently to ensure pregnancy happens asap?

Ask what the steps are that you need to take as far as ttc like if you are unsuccessful with nothing what are your options?? Hopefully you will not need to take these steps but it would be good to know what options you have!!! GOOD LUCK

Hey Premont.

I think it might be worth you documenting everything you do now and giving him the chance to review and give you pointers from that. What you don't want is him to send you off with some basics to cover when you're already done those and need more from him. If you can prove you're already on with lots of common sense, practical 'tricks' it might make him take you seriously and knuckle down quickly.

Like TTCSECONDJOY says, I think it'd be useful to know all your options if ttc as you are doesn't work. Then you can digest it, prepare for it and make informed decisions.

Good luck hun - I hate these things where you know you need to come out with answers (for your own sanity) but don't quite know what questions will get you them.

Let us know how you get on.

Hi hun. I agree, if I were in your position I would ask about my options. I haven't yet ventured to ask an OB, but my Gyn sucked with being helpful and she used to be an OB! Hopefully yours will be helpful and informative.

I am a huge believer in natural remedies, but I'm not sure a medical OB will suggest or promote them, my Gyn sure didn't (grr!). I would ask about diet and supplements though. Some things like vitamin C when taken in high doses can actually cause you to NOT get pregnant! Maybe find out more things like this... ?

Best to you

Thanks gals. I have come up with a short list that I will be working on until the big day.

If there are any of you that would like to know answers to questions you may haven let me know caust I would be more than happy to askm not only that but it may help spark my own thinking process as well.

like does a b complex really lengthen the leuteal phase and what are the indications or contraindications of using it?
Or about EPO, does it work?
Or macca root for him?
I would apreciate any other specific questions as well!

I plan on printing out my FF charts for him to look at and I hope to spend a good amount of time discussing things with him.
Thanks again!

I have elaborated on what conclusions I have come up with when I went to my OB today in my journal if anyone is interested.
