Low Progesterone - Anyone like me?

I am so angry! I am PMS'ing... That is why I feel such a depressed-anxious-sad-irritated-pissed off-emotional twat today... Grrrrrr….

I so knew that it would be a long shot to get a bump this month, especially because we were not 'officially' trying (or so DP thought...)! Anyway, I am now spotting very mildly (pink CM), 3 days away from the witch due date and the PMS symptoms cannot fool anyone no more - AF is coming, and she is coming with a vengeance... I HATE THE B**** (pardon the language…)!

Also, I have just recently found out that the reason why my PMS symptoms are getting worse by the day…hour…make that MINUTE… may be related to low progesterone - and the frequent spotting right before my periods is also a symptom of that...

I have a temperature shift during ovulation, and a luteal phase of 14 days in average, but there's clearly something here jinxing the whole conception thing!
And that makes me feel so helpless.

I am taking prenatal vitamins for 3 months now, and taking EPO during my pre-ovulation days… All seems OK with me, and DP is taking Vit C and Zinc… I am starting my last attempt to correct what seems to be wrong… But then, after that, I'll leave all in the hands of God.

I will start taking Biocare P-5-P Complex (vitamin B6, carotene & zinc) as well as Vitex Agnus Castus in a last hope to regulate my stupid hormones and my terrible PMS. Me and DP will BD with preseed several days before, during and after ovulation and I will commit to my daily routine of 30-45 minutes exercise a day.

Anyone in the same circumstances or with the same symptoms as me?
Anyone using Agnus Castus? If so, do you take it before or after the ovulation?

Hi there, I've had numerous blood tests done and twice for cd21 progesterone levels which were only 3 and 3.5. that means it is v low and maybe a sign that i am not ovulating so very much like you.

I too have been taking pregnacare multi vit and EPO before ovulation (well cos I dont know when I am or not, about 15 days of my cycle) then for the rest taking flaxeed oil caps. I also took Agnus castus from Holland and Barrats to regulate my cycles (as approx 45 days at the moment) but I can't say it did much so I dont bother with it anymore. FYI I took it from cd5 throughout to cd1.

My temps pre-and post-O are lower than yours, and I have clear O patterns in my charts too. Hope things work out for you fast! How long have you been trying?

Love,
Amy.

Hi Amy...

I have just started TTC cycle#4... I am TTC since September, and nothing so far. I was in birth control pills for 12 years and stopped taking them almost a year now... I am also very stressed all the time, have huge emotional break downs from time to time, with depression and sadness followed by irritation and shouting... I must have some hormonal imbalance, seriously! Before the pill I was not like that...

I have terrible PMS episodes, but I ovulate. I am charting for 3 months now too, so I know exactly what my best days are for bd...

...so, considering all, I guess I have several issues preventing me from conceiving, along with my BMI 29.

At the moment I am taking EPO for the 1st part of my cycle. Also taking Prenatal vitamins and Flaxseed oil, but nothing seems to work and it is so frustrating because in my family women always conceived without any problems... but I guess I was the only one using the pill for so long...

I am soooo frustrated!

Hey I saw that macca on that site but you can also get it combined with horny weed or something!!.....have you seen it? Its got 1000mg maca so you only need to take one tablet instead of 2. Is it good aswell? And can both men and women take it?

My Oh and I have decided that we don't mind a September or October baby!!! (As opposed to the spring after..so we would have to wait till June to conceive ...but don't know when ovulating anyway so may even take till June knowing my luck!!)

Hi there, I am not sure if I have low progesterone, but I had two shorter cycles or 25 days recently and have had cramps for a week before AF for a few months. Anyway, I took B Complex this month and my cycle went back to 28 days and was certainly less painful with only a few minor cramps. So you never know, it may help.x
