| Ov'ing, having a cold and taking medication I think I'm being a little paranoid here (ok, I know I am) but I feel really rough and want to dose myself with Lemsips so I am not sick in work tomorrow or over Christmas. My temps have risen and I think I ov'd on Saturday so dont want to do anything to harm my chances of implantation - what do you think...paracetamol or not???
My symtpoms are: aching muscles (especially my legs and also my hips), dry throat, a general 'cloudy' feeling in my head and a cough. Maybe someone could suggest something alternative?
Thanks xx | | | | Status: Offline

| hmmm.... i think paracetamol is safe. You could take just paracetamol... coz lemsip also contains soemthingelse....i think its phenylephrine. I dont think it is safe in pregnancy. So its better u take only paracetamol. For cold u could try vapour rub or steam or call in ur doctor.
Hope it helps.

| Hun, I've had the same dilemma..
I've only taken a couple of paracetamol, nothing else. Went to the pharmacy and they said to only take glycerin with honey and lemon for sore throat/cough cos nothing else is really safe. I've also been using a menthol stick for headache.
Am completely with you on the paranoid bit, don't want to do anything at this stage to jeodpardise chances!
Keep well. | | | | Status: Offline

| Thanks Mrs G - I have been having 2 spoons of honey topped with a slice and squeeze of lemon in boiling water. Unfortunately, I also have a fluctuating temp so I think I'm going to have to have some paracetamol as I keep getting really hot.
Talk about bad timing!!! Hope you are better soon and that all lurgies are gone before Christmas! | | | | Status: Offline

| Thanks Keerthy, I am doing OK, just read on the news that England and Wales are having some kind of flu drama so I guess I am one of those involved!! Temp is doing OK, my cheeks were so rosey earlier!!! I'd better be well for Christmas. My mum has just finished chemo and radiotherapy and I cant be making her sick We are celebrating big time this Christmas as she is doing so well (so proud of her, she's a star xx)
Thanks for checking in on me, very sweet of you | | | | Status: Offline
