TTC after M/C advice needed please!!!

Hey all.

I had a m/c two weeks ago now.I was in the ealy stages prob around 4-5 weeks.
Me and my husband want to start trying straight away.I feel this is part of the healing process for me.

Is there any chance of m/c again if we dont wait?
how long should we wait?
Are there any other problems we may encounter if we dont wait??

Please advise me, I am Like a rampant desperate woman. lol

thanks

Hi MUMMYALLY08 I was told to wait at least 3 cycles as your body has to recover and if you get pregnant staight away there is an increased risk that your womb is not prepared to hold a pregnancy and result in m/c.

Hope this helps

After my mc in feb i was told at the hospital by the midwife i was good to go as soon as i wanted. The general concensus is that your body will not get pregnant until it is ready, most likely to have built a nice lining in your womb (sorry to contradict the above post..but you will not mc as you will not even get that far..), so there really isnt anything stopping you if you had a complete mc and everything is back to normal.

The only issue is wether you feel emotionally strong enough to go back ttc. As for me i found it really therapeutic to be able to feel normal post mc and also being back in the the saddle so to speak. it was also nice to feel that closeness with my oh after what had happened, if you know what i mean. I felt it gave us closure.

At the end of the day id say go with what what your heart and body tells you. It was the right desicion for me and to be honest, as soon as i get the all clear this time (yes, ive been unlucky again..but oh well...) i shall ttc again.

All the best and so sorry to hear about your loss, hun!

Hugs, Omi xxx

Maybe you ask this question in the miscarriage and loss section hun, you may get more responses in there! I know after my last m/c in May I had a d&c and was pregnant again at the end of June so I didn't wait. I had one af and then got pregnant and my friend got pregnant the month after her natural m/c and she has little boy now and I am 25 weeks this time. So although some medical professionals do advise lengths of time to wait it is not really for your body but more for your mental state hth xxx

I was told to wait for one a/f so that's what i'm going to do. It's been 39 days since my ERPC and still no sign . Before i was a regular 28dayer

I know i was like a woman posessed just after my m/c and wanted to try right away but i'm glad i'm waiting now, with my a/f being so much later than i thought it wouldve been, I would be driving myself mad now wondering if i could be pregnant.

Like OMI says, you wont get pregnant if your body isn't ready for it so go for what ever you feel.

I think if i was you I would make sure a HPT test is negative before trying again just so that you can rule out a false +HPT at the end of the month.

Sorry for your loss and good luck with ttc again.

hi Ladies,
I just wanted to say that I personnally waited until I had my next periods...and that gave a chance to our couple to put TTC out of our routine for a few weeks, it did us a lot of good , as I was getting very obseced....
It did us some good to wait , but every body is different, so I am just sharing my experience...
It's been 3 cycles since the mc, and I really hope that I will get a BFP again

Marie
