My DH and I have a room in our house that we call "the baby's room". We picked the room out as soon as we moved in a few years ago but it has kind of morphed into a junk room. I realize now that this is a problem that I plan to rectify ASAP. I mean, what are we telling the universe: we don't have room for a baby?!
OK, you can laugh. It sounds bizarre, especially if you haven't read "The Secret". Now, I'm not saying I'm going out to buy a bunch of baby furniture and whatnot like a crazy lady but I figure it can't hurt to do a little cleaning and organizing.

We have a little drawer with baby clothes (mostly sent by my overexcited mum about a year ago!) a few little books...and were moving into a house with a "spare" room soon...but we both know its for the little one, when he or she arrives (finally)

It may very well sound stupid...but I want the universe to know were both ready as can be. Were both waiting with open arms...sometimes, like tonight, I lose faith a bit, cry and feel empty etc, and feel very guilty afterwards. Because I shouldnt lose faith

Id get the room cleared...youre right not to go mad, but what harm would it do to get that room clean, and feel more like youre more prepared and theres that room there waiting for little one to have

We were in 2 minds about getting the house...we thought it may be "tempting fate" and just be miserable...but then part of me says we should act like were all ready and little ones coming soon...because we are, and he/she is!

I havent read the book but may look into it

This is a weird but true story. I skimmed The Secret one day at my local Barnes and Noble. Didn't really put my stock into it, so I thought, "Why not try it out for one day?" So of course I wsh for the most inane thing ever: a twenty dollar bill. I just kept thinking about it, like it was mine.

Just try to guess what I found lying in the street later that evening.

I haven't been converted, but I figure it can't hurt (too badly).
