Advice please

My friends using ovulation tests..... tests the lh surge in urine. she tested on 5th positive for ovulation.. however she did another when she woke up and it showed a positive for today.

What does this mean....?

It can easily stay positive for a few days if her surge is long enough. It just means that sh'es still surging, but it's probably on its way back down...I bet it will be lighter by tonight!

Don't worry, it is normal to have a few days of positive OPKs. OPK detects your LH surge 12-48 hours in advance, so it is in the realm of possibility to have multiple positives if you are having a long surge. I have had three days in a row before.

Ah, did not realize it was over a few days. Is this her first month doing OPKs? Could she have been wrong about the first positive? Otherwise, she could be testing after ovulation and it could be picking up a pregnancy. If she got a positive of the 5th of this month, she could be 10-12dpo and detecting a pregnancy then is very possible too. When does she expect her period?

I'd advise her to wait for her missed period then test the day after. I know it's hard, but it's a good idea if she can hold out!!

She did a HCG this afternoon and it was a BFN..
However.. still have a couple of days until her AF is due and HCG's arent as sensative and OPKs according to peeonastick.com!!
