Do you tell them?

Do you tell your OH when you are ovulating? (if like my man, they are clueless when it comes to the female reproductive system)?

I don't have the best sex drive, although it did increase when I came of bcp, we DTD lastnight, and I got my positive OPK this morning, so I want to DTD when he gets in from work this afternoon, as we can't tonight coz we're staying out elsewhere. He doesn't want to know when I get my postive OPK, pressure on him and all that....but he will be suspicious when I jump on him this afternoon after DTD last night the last thing we need is a lack of passion, and a lack of babyjuice!

So ladies, do you tell your OH, and does it effect them if they know?

i too have a low sex drive and so to combat my bloke feeling just plain used when i want sex while TTC, i have told him we need to aim for every other day, but in reality it seems to be every three days then falls off naturally after O and while awaiting AF. he knows if we're aiming for every other day he's prepared to expect fairly regular sex although it might not happen as regularly in reality

hope this makes sense! lol

Thank you wishingonastar...good way to look at things. I tried to mention the every other day at the begining of my cycle, but with me having a low sex drive he just looked at me like he expected to see flying pigs!
I do like the thinking though, I'll just have to try to keep it up (no pun intended) after ov, then it won't look to bad on me!

I just print out a bd schedule from http://www.whenmybaby.com/conception-calendar.php and stick it on the fridge, lol!

having said that, he still asks when we have to bd so he can plan to be at home and not be oveworked!

We usually make sure to do it the 3 days before i ov..we're aiming for ov day too but for some reason it never materialises, lol! But he claims we are gonna nail it this month..we'll see. ...

I think because i always know when i ov we dont really have to have a bd-marathon and last time i caught we only bd twice on a mon and a wed and i got a positive on the thursday meaning i ov friday.

I think its important not to overdo it...cause the longer you ttc it can become a chore- good grief!!! Lol!! So a few good tries when it really counts around ov and then whenever it grabs us the rest of the time!!

Good luck chicken!

I too can be guilty of low drive...as my mom is living with us so it is tough having her in the next room, even though we are married snd she is under our roof!
I tell my man i am in the 'hotzone'and he always seems to comply, last cycle he was even keen to do a quickie before his tv show and I think the pressure got to him cos he couldnt finish. so I think sometimes its best to keep it quiet.

I do tell my OH... actually I don't... he asks With him having a low SC and me with irregular cycles, we really do need to plan everything! I'm on CD37 at the moment and I've been POAS stick since day 6 as I have no idea when I OV and my cycles are all over the place But... tried a different brand of OPK's this cycle and this morning I got my FIRST EVER line! It's not as dark as the control line but definitely there! We've been BD am and pm since Wednesday and I guess we will be for a few days more! The OH does get a bit stressed sometimes and can't finish... so, sorry ifTMI but we decided to give home insemination a go. If it gets too much for him, he disappears and a few mins later, job done! Lucky for us we can have a giggle about it

Good luck though!
